Cover sheet precautions
• The front cover sheet should be the same size and orientation as the body paper.
• When loading the front cover sheet in the tray, set the relevant paper size.
• The front cover sheet cannot be used when a slip sheet is specified.
• To print on both sides of the cover sheet, select duplex printing in the printer driver. For details, see
page 138 "Printing on Both Sides of a Page".
• For details about setting the front cover sheet function using the PCL 6 printer driver, see page 153

• For details about setting the front cover sheet function using the PCL 5e/5c printer driver, see
page 157 "Paper".
Slip Sheets
A slip sheet can be inserted between each page. This function is available for the PCL 5e/5c/6 printer
drivers.
• The same paper feed tray cannot be set for the body of the document and the slip sheets.
• The slip sheet should be the same size and orientation as the body paper.

Slip sheets precautions
• When a cover sheet is specified, you cannot insert slip sheets.
• When Sample Print is specified with Slip Sheets, only the first copy will be printed. The setting
to print the rest of the copies is not stored on the printer.
