K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine Instructions For Installing Loading Wheel (Optional Accessory) 1. Locate the two pre-drilled holes near the top of the handle. 2. Bolt loading wheel to handle using the 5/16″ carriage bolts and lock nuts as shown in Figure 4. NOTE! Loading wheel swivels up and down. Raise wheel for loading, lower wheel while transporting or operating machine. the Drain Cleaning Machine (Figure 5). Do not operate the machine without a foot switch. 3.
K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine 8. Inspect the cutting edges of your tools. If necessary, have them sharpened or replaced prior to using the Drain Cleaning Machine. Dull or damaged cutting tools can lead to binding and cable breakage. 9. Inspect cables and couplings for wear and damage. Cables should be replaced when they become severely worn or corroded. A worn cable can be identified when the outside coils become flat. WARNING Worn or damaged cables can break causing serious injury.
K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine WARNING To avoid electric shock and electrical fires, never use an extension cord that is damaged or does not meet the following requirements: • The cord has a three-prong plug similar to shown in Electrical Safety section. • The cord is rated as “W” or “W-A” if being used outdoors. • The cord has sufficient wire thickness (16 AWG below 50′/14 AWG 50′-100′).

Pull back on cable to relieve torque and drum will begin to spin. TIP: If cable continues to get hung up in blockage, discontinue use of the auto feed and work cable by hand. 7. Once flow is established, use running water to wash debris and roots down the drain while finishing the job.
K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine Loading The Machine On Vehicle Loading Wheel Optional loading wheel swivels up and down. Raise wheel for loading, lower wheel while transporting or operating machine. WARNING If sewer inlet is greater than 3′ from the front off the machine, the cable will have a greater tendency to twist or kink. Use a front guide tube or properly support exposed cable. With loading wheel raised, tip machine backwards and rest handle or loading wheel on truck bed.
K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine the shaft of the drum assembly into the gear box. Align the tangs of the drum and gear box assembly and fully engage (Figure 12). Use proper lifting technique – lift with your legs, not your back!! WARNING Pigtail Removal and Installation 1. Set the kickstand. 2. Remove all cable from the drum except the pigtail. 3. Remove the autofeed assembly and main drum. 4. Remove the outer retaining clip from the guide tube shaft (Figure 13). Slide bearing off the shaft.

Install inner drum and bearing by reversing Steps 4 and 5. 10. Place the drum assembly into the machine by following instructions in Step 2 of Drum Assembly Installation section. K-3800 Drum Option Installing K-3800 Drum 1. Insert rear adapter into gear box in back of drum, inserting “O” ring end into drive gear.
K-6200 Drain Cleaning Machine Periodically lubricate cables and couplings with RIDGID Cable Rust Inhibitor. When not in use, store cables indoors to prevent deterioration by the elements. Cables should be replaced when they become severely corroded or worn. A worn cable can be identified when outside coils of cable become flat or lose their rigidity. Machine Storage WARNING Motor-driven equipment must be kept indoors or well covered in rainy weather.

Le processus de préparation suivant doit être respecté lors de l’installation de la machine : 1. Examinez le chantier pour : • Un éclairage suffisant. • Une prise de courant avec terre.

MISE EN GARDE Afin de limiter les risques de choc électrique, gardez toutes connexions électriques au sec et surélevées. Ne touchez pas les fiches avec les mains mouillées. Testez le disjoncteur différentiel fourni avec le cordon d’alimentation afin de vous assurer de son bon fonctionnement.

Faites avancer le câble à nouveau vers l’obstacle, tout en laissant le couteau progresser lentement. Ramenez le levier d’avancement au point mort occasionnellement afin de permettre au couteau de faire son chemin à travers l’obstacle.
Dégorgeoir électrique K-6200 Utilisation de la marche arrière L’utilisation de la marche arrière entraînera la défaillance prématurée du câble. N’utilisez la marche arrière que pour déloger un outil entravé dans un obstacle. Le cas échéant, retirez immédiatement votre pied de la pédale de commande pneumatique et laisser la machine s’arrêter complètement. Mettez le sélecteur FOR/OFF/REV en position REV (marche arrière). Desserrez la molette d’embrayage.
Dégorgeoir électrique K-6200 Dépose et installation du tambour d’engrenages MISE EN GARDE ! S’assurer que le sélecteur FOR/OFF/REV se trouve en position OFF et que la machine est débranchée. Dépose du tambour 1. Mettez la béquille en position de travail afin de stabiliser la machine. 2. Desserrez la molette d’embrayage pour vous assurer que le palier supérieur ne touche pas le câble, puis retirez le couteau. 3.
Dégorgeoir électrique K-6200 10. Installez le tambour sur la machine selon les instructions de l’étape 2 de la section Installation du tambour. Sélection des outils appropriés De manière générale, il est préférable d’effectuer la première passe en utilisant soit un couteau à graisse ou un couteau à lames d’un diamètre de 50 mm (2 po) de moins que celui de la conduite. Des outils plus grands peuvent être utilisés pour les passes successives.
Dégorgeoir électrique K-6200 1. Introduisez l’adaptateur arrière dans le boîtier d’engrenages qui se trouve au dos du tambour en insérant le joint torique dans l’engrenage d’entraînement. Placez l’adaptateur 6-pans avant en bout du tuyau de guidage et serrez l’écrou papillon. 3. Enfilez le tambour dans l’adaptateur arrière du boîtier d’engrenages. 4.
Dégorgeoir électrique K-6200 Vidangez le tambour après chaque utilisation. Rincez le tambour périodiquement pour en chasser les dépôts de boue qui risqueraient de corroder le câble. Les câbles doivent être soigneusement rincés à l’eau afin d’empêcher leur détérioration en présence de produits de nettoyage. Lubrifiez les câbles et raccords régulièrement avec du RIDGID Cable Rust Inhibitor. Protégez les câbles non utilisés contre les intempéries en les rangeant à l’intérieur.

Las barrenas desafiladas o dañadas pueden atascarse y romper el cable. 9. Revise los cables y acoplamientos por si estuvieran desgastados o dañados. Los cables deben cambiarse cuando se vuelvan muy desgastados o corroídos. Un cable está desgastado cuando sus espirales exteriores se han aplanado.

Mientras más lejos se encuentre de la posición vertical, más rápido va entrando el cable.

ADVERTENCIA Use la técnica debida para levantar objetos. ¡Levante con sus piernas, nunca con su espalda! 12. Afloje la perilla de alimentación y saque el resto del cable y la barrena fuera del desagüe. A mano, devuelva el cable hacia el interior de la máquina. ¡NOTA! Cuide de no dañar el cordón eléctrico o la manguera del interruptor neumático de pie. 13.

Extraiga todo el cable del tambor excepto la “colita de cerdo”. 3. Extraiga el conjunto de la autoalimentación y el tambor principal. 4. Extraiga el aro de sujeción externo del eje del tubo guía (Figura 13). Saque el cojinete fuera del eje. en la parte posterior del tambor. Meta el perno, arandelas y tuerca y apriételos firmemente.

Inserte un adaptador posterior en la caja de engranajes, ubicada en la parte trasera del tambor, metiendo un anillo “O” en el engranaje impulsor. El anillo sujetará al adaptador en su lugar mientras se instala el tambor.

Periódicamente lubrique los cables y acoplamientos con Inhibidor de la oxidación de cables RIDGID. Servicio y reparaciones ADVERTENCIA Cuando no estén en uso, almacene los cables bajo techo para evitar su deterioro por obra de la intemperie. Los cables deben recambiarse cuando se vuelvan severamente corroídos o desgastados.

Cable en uso es incorrecto para el diámetro del desagüe. Use cables de 5/8 pulgs. en desagües de 3 a 6 pulgs. de diámetro. Use un puntero flexible para atravesar sifones o trampillas. El motor está puesto en reversa. Use la reversa únicamente cuando el cable se enganche dentro del desagüe.
