SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES n If wrapped or in contact with fabrics, the worklight lens can produce sufficient heat to melt some fabrics. To avoid serious personal injury, never allow the worklight lens to come in contact with anything. n Do not permit children to use worklight unsupervised. It is not a toy. The temperature of the bulb will become hot after being on for only a short period of time. This hot temperature can cause burn injury if touched and can create sufficient heat to melt some fabrics.

ASSEMBLY UNPACKING WARNING: This product has been shipped completely assembled. If any parts are missing do not operate this worklight until the missing parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result in possible serious personal injury. n Carefully remove the worklight and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the worklight carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
OPERATION BATTERY PACK WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with worklights to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. OPERATION LED FUNCTION OF CHARGER See Figure 2.
OPERATION TO TURN WORKLIGHT ON/OFF TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 4. n Align the raised rib on the battery with the groove inside flashlight base. See Figure 5. To turn worklight ON or OFF, depress switch trigger located beneath handle. n Slide together until latches click. TO CHANGE BEAM DIRECTION See Figure 5. Rotate worklight head up to 180˚ to change direction of light beam.
MAINTENANCE BULB REPLACEMENT WARNING: See Figure 6. When purchasing replacement bulb, request recommended part number 780036001 (for Model No. R829) or 7806001 (for Model No. R839). When servicing use only identical RIDGID replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. TO REPLACE BULB: n Allow bulb to cool. �n Remove battery pack from worklight. �n Twist lens cover in a counter-clockwise direction and remove.
MAINTENANCE BATTERY PACK REMOVAL AND PREPARATION FOR RECYCLING BATTERIES The battery pack for this worklight is equipped with nickelcadmium rechargeable batteries. Length of service from each charging will depend on the type of work you are doing. To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of batteries properly. The batteries in the battery pack have been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life. However, like all batteries, they will eventually wear out.
