ELECTRICAL DOUBLE INSULATION Double insulation is a concept in safety in electric products, which eliminates the need for the usual three-wire grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts are isolated from energized internal components with protecting insulation. round jacketed cords listed by Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) should be used. When using this product outdoors, use an extension cord that is designed for outside use. This type of cord is designated with “WA” or “W” on the cord’s jacket.
OPERATION REPLACING CLOCK/MEMORY AAA BATTERIES WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. See Figure 1, page 13. Two AAA batteries are preinstalled in the radio. Before first use, locate and remove the pull tab to activate the batteries. It is advisable to write down frequency presets before replacing the AAA batteries.
OPERATION WIRE-STYLE FM ANTENNA SETTING THE CLOCK (OPTIONAL/NOT INCLUDED/FM ONLY) See Figure 3, page 13. See Figure 4, page 13. The radio has a connection point for a standard wire-style antenna for improving indoor FM reception. For best results, use a simple 1-meter (39.4 in.) length of 22 AWG stranded or solid copper wire. If the wire is insulated, strip one end to expose at least 1/2 in. of the conductor.
OPERATION AM/FM TUNING TONE SELECTION See Figure 4, page 13. See Figure 4, page 13. The left and right arrow buttons and the MODE button are used to tune to the desired radio frequency. The selected frequency is displayed on the LCD. Press the SOUND button to enter bass adjust mode. Press the MODE button until AM or FM is highlighted. Press and release the left arrow button to tune to a lower frequency. Press and release the right arrow button to tune to a higher frequency.
OPERATION AUXILIARY MODE Connect one end of a USB cable (not provided) to your USB device. See Figures 6 - 7, page 14. The jobsite radio can be used as an amplifier for your MP3 player, CD player, smartphone, tablet, and other music devices. To use the auxiliary mode: Press the MODE button to select AUX mode. Connect the included auxiliary cable to your external device. Connect the other end of the auxiliary cable to the AUX jack located on the side of the radio.
MAINTENANCE CHANGING RADIO FUSE WARNING: See Figure 10, page 14. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause product damage. GENERAL MAINTENANCE The radio features a 250V/125V 800mA fuse (part no. SFC0800A/B) located in the AAA battery compartment. If the radio does not work when the AC power cord is plugged in or a fully charged battery is installed, the fuse may need to be replaced. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.

CARACTÉRISTIQUES ÉLECTRIQUES DOUBLE ISOLATION La double isolation est un dispositif de sécurité utilisé sur les produits à moteur électriques, éliminant le besoin de cordon d’alimentation habituel à trois fils avec terre. Toutes les pièces métalliques exposées sont isolées des composants internes sous tension avec un isolant protecteur. UTILISATION REMPLACEMENT DES PILES DE L’HORLOGE ET DE LA MÉMOIRE AVERTISSEMENT : Ne pas laisser la familiarité avec l’produit faire oublier la prudence. Ne pas oublier qu’une fraction de seconde d’inattention peut entraîner des blessures graves. Voir la figure 1, page 13. Deux piles AAA est installée dans l’appareil. Avant la première utilisation, repérez et retirez la languette amovible afin d’activer les piles.
UTILISATION ANTENNE FM AVEC FIL Pour baisser le volume : tourner le bouton ON/OFF/ VOLUME (marche/arrêt et de réglage du volume) vers la gauche. La radio comprend un point de raccordement conçu pour une antenne standard avec fil afin d’améliorer la réception FM à l’intérieur. Pour aider à conserver l’énergie de la pile, la radio se met automatiquement en mode de veille environ 1 heure après sa mise hors tension.
UTILISATION COMMANDE DE TONALITÉ SYNTONISATION AM/FM Voir la figure 4, page 13. Les flèches gauche et droite et le bouton MODE sont utilisés pour syntoniser la fréquence radio désirée. La fréquence sélectionnée apparaît sur l’afficheur ACL. Appuyer sur le bouton MODE jusqu’à ce que le menu « AM » ou « FM » soit en surbrillance. Appuyer et relâcher sur la flèche de gauche pour syntoniser une fréquence plus basse. Sur la flèche de droite pour syntoniser une fréquence plus élevée.
UTILISATION Pour déconnecter le dispositif actuel et permettre l’appariement d’un autre dispositif prêt pour BLUETOOTH®, appuyer et maintenir le bouton enfoncé pendant 3 secondes. La radio est prête pour l’appariement dès que le clignotement commence. MODE AUXILIAIRE Voir les figures 6 et 7, page 14. Brancher une extrémité du câble USB (non fourni) au dispositif USB. Brancher l’autre extrémité du câble USB au port de charge USB dédié pour commencer la charge du dispositif.

ASPECTOS ELÉCTRICOS DOBLE AISLAMIENTO El doble aislamiento es una característica de seguridad de las producto eléctricas, la cual elimina la necesidad de usar el típico cordón eléctrico de tres conductores con conexión a tierra. Todas las piezas metálicas están aisladas de los componentes eléctricos internos con un aislamiento protector. Básese en la tabla suministrada para determinar el grueso mínimo requerido del cordón de extensión.
FUNCIONAMIENTO PARA REEMPLAZAR LAS BATERÍAS DEL RELOJ/DE LA MEMORIA ADVERTENCIA: No permita que su familarización con la producto lo vuelva descuidado. Tenga presente que un descuido de un instante es suficiente para causar una lesión seria. Vea la figura 1, página 13. Hay dos baterías AAA preinstalada en la unidad. Antes del primer uso, ubique y quite la orejeta de extracción para activar las baterías. Se recomienda tomar nota de los frecuencias prefijada antes de reemplazar las baterías AAA.
FUNCIONAMIENTO ANTENA FM DE ALAMBRE (OPCIONAL/NO INCLUIDO/SOLO FM) Vea la figura 3, página 13. La radio tiene un punto de conexión para una antena de alambre estándar para mejorar la recepción de FM en el interior. Para obtener resultados óptimos, use un alambre simple de cobre, trenzado o de un hilo, de 1 m (39,4 pulg.) de longitud y 22 AWG. Si el alambre está aislado, pele un extremo para exponer, por lo menos, 12,7 mm (1/2 pulg.) del conductor.
FUNCIONAMIENTO SINTONIZACIÓN AM/FM CONTROL DE TONO Vea la figura 4, página 13. Vea la figura 4, página 13. Los botones con las flechas hacia la izquierda y la derecha, y el botón MODE se usan para sintonizar la radio frecuencia deseada. La frecuencia seleccionada se muestra en la pantalla de cristal líquido. Presione el botón SOUND (sonido) para ingresar al modo de ajuste de graves. Presione el botón MODE hasta que el menú AM o FM aparezca destacado.
FUNCIONAMIENTO MODO AUXILIAR Vea las figuras 6 y 7, página 14. La radio pueden utilizarse para reproductores MP3, tocadiscos CD, teléfono inteligente, tabletas u otros dispositivos de música. Para utilizar el modo auxiliar: Presione el botón MODE hasta que el menú AUX aparezca destacado. Conecte el cable auxiliar incluido al dispositivo externo. Conecte el otro extremo del cable auxiliar al puerto AUX ubicado en la parte lateral de la radio.
MANTENIMIENTO CAMBIAR EL FUSIBLE DE LA RADIO ADVERTENCIA: Al dar servicio a la unidad, sólo utilice piezas de repuesto idénticas. El empleo de piezas diferentes podría causar un peligro o dañar el producto. MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL Evite el empleo de solventes al limpiar piezas de plástico. La mayoría de los plásticos son susceptibles a diferentes tipos de solventes comerciales y pueden resultar dañados. Utilice paños limpios para eliminar la suciedad, el polvo, el aceite, la grasa, etc.
