Maintenance Instructions
Always shut off the engine, allow
the engine to cool and remove the spark plug before
performing any maintenance. Such preventative
measures reduce the risk of starting the pump
accidentally.
Inlet Strainer
Check inlet strainer for debris that can restrict water
flow into the pump resulting in poor performance. If
the strainer is dirty, clogged or damaged, clean or
replace the strainer.
Lubrication
Before each use, check engine crankcase oil level.
If low, add Honda 4-Stroke Oil or SAE 10W-30
detergent oil.
If any maintenance is required
other than that listed above, take pump to a RIDGID
Independent Authorized Service Center or return it to
the factory.
Pump Storage
Store the pump in a locked area
that is out of reach of children and people unfamiliar
with this type of equipment. This pump can cause
serious injury in the hands of untrained users.
If the pump will be stored for long periods of time,
drain the water from the pump and follow the engine
manufacturer's recommendations for long-term storage.
