If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

SP6580-2 Ridgid.qxd 7/27/07 1:22 PM Page 6 Pump Accessory Assembly Your Pump Accessory will work on all RIDGID brand Wet/Dry Vacuums that have a drain at the bottom of the drum. When attaching the pump to the drain of your vacuum, you will use all of the parts included in this kit. Adapter 1. Mount adapter onto the drain of your Wet/Dry Vac and firmly tighten by hand. Locate screw notch and install the supplied #6 x 5/8-inch long screw.

Without this shut-off valve, the pump will leak through the pump outlet. Connect a standard size garden hose (not included), up to 50 feet in length, to the outlet end of the shut-off valve. Longer lengths will cause reduced performance of the pump.

Open the shut-off valve located between the outlet of the Pump Accessory and the garden hose. Turn on the unit by pushing the switch from position "O" to position "l". The symbols used on the switch actuator are international "On & Off" symbols. "O" is the symbol for "OFF" and "l" is the symbol for "ON". = OFF 4.

Posicione la manguera en la ubicación deseada para vaciar el contenido del tambor. Abra la válvula de cierre ubicada entre la salida de la bomba accesoria y la manguera de jardín. Encienda la unidad empujando el interruptor de la posición “O” a la posición “|”.
