Remarks
This command is only applicable to the burst mode (N cycle, Infinite, or Gated) in external trigger
(
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger:SOURce). In the External trigger, the signal generator receives the
trigger signal input from the rear-panel [Sync/Ext Mod/Trig/FSK] connector. Once it receives a TTL
pulse with a specified polarity, a burst output (N cycle, Infinite, or Gated) is initiated.
When [:SOURce[<n>]] or [<n>] is omitted, the system sets the related parameters of CH1 by default.
Return Format
The query returns POS or NEG.
Example
:SOUR1:BURS:TRIG:SLOP NEG /*Sets CH1 to trigger on the falling edge of the trigger input signal.*/
:SOUR1:BURS:TRIG:SLOP? /*Queries the edge type of the trigger input signal of CH1 and the
query returns NEG.*/
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger:SOURce
Syntax
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger:SOURce {INTernal|EXTernal|MANual}
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger:SOURce?
Description
Sets the trigger source of the burst mode of the specified channel to Internal (INTernal), External
(EXTernal), or Manual (MANual).
Queries the trigger source of the burst mode of the specified channel.

Remarks
Burst trigger source can be internal, external, or manual. The generator will generate a burst output
when a trigger signal is received, and then it waits for the next trigger signal.
Only the N cycle burst (
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:MODE) supports the internal trigger. When internal
trigger is selected, the frequency of the N cycle burst is determined by the "Burst Period"
(
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:INTernal:PERiod). You can also set the rear-panel [Sync/Ext
Mod/Trig/FSK] connector of the corresponding channel to output the trigger signal with the
specified edge type (rising edge or falling edge) or disable the trigger output signal
(
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger:TRIGOut).
The N cycle, Infinite, and Gated bursts all support the external trigger. In the External trigger, the
signal generator receives the trigger signal input from the rear-panel [Sync/Ext Mod/Trig/FSK]
connector of the specified channel. Once it receives a TTL pulse with a specified polarity, a burst
output is initiated. You can specify the edge type of the trigger input signal (rising edge or falling
edge).
The N cycle and Infinite bursts support the manual trigger. When the Manual trigger is selected and
the output of the corresponding channel is enabled, send the
*TRG, :TRIGger[<n>][:IMMediate], or
[:SOURce[<n>]]:BURSt:TRIGger[:IMMediate] command to output N cycle burst or Infinite burst. If
the output of the corresponding channel is not enabled, the trigger will be ignored. You can also set
the rear-panel [Sync/Ext Mod/Trig/FSK] connector of the corresponding channel to output the
trigger signal with the specified edge type (rising edge or falling edge) or disable the trigger output
