When accomplishing any maintenance or repair that involves removing the burner box fitting plate, it is
recommended that the burner box plate, packings, screws, and electrode parts be replaced with the
Burner Box Fitting Plate Kit, part number 204000018. Use of this kit will make the service procedure
much simpler. Details of the kit and part locations are shown below.
The old packing/gasket must not be re-used. It is necessary to replace this packing/gasket when
accessing the burner area to guarantee a seal and prevent the appliance from operating in an unsafe
condition. Damage to the appliance may also occur if the old packing/gasket is re-used.
The Owner’s Operation and Installation manuals for the above models will be revised to include this
information.
