The appliance must be inspected annually by a licensed professional. Repairs and maintenance should be
performed by a licensed professional. The licensed professional must verify proper operaon aer servicing.
Regular inspecons, as outlined in this secon, are strongly recommended as means of keeping your heater
operang eciently and safely. Access to internal parts is from the front of the heater.
Any safety screen or guard removed for servicing an appliance must be replaced prior to operang the heater.
Both air lters should be cleaned monthly during the heang season. Do not wait for lter warning lamp to come
on before cleaning lters. Do not use the heater with the lter warning lamp on or the appliance will overheat.
Dusty lters reduce the air ow through the heater and reduce the heater’s eecveness. The lters while
installed may be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
The heater should be inspected and cleaned annually by a professional service person. More frequent cleaning
may be required due to excessive lint from carpeng and/or other materials. It is imperave that the controls,
burners and circulang air passageways of the appliance be kept clean.
Required Maintenance
To protect yourself from harm, before performing maintenance:
Turn o the electrical power supply by unplugging the power cord or by turning o the electricity at the
circuit breaker. (The temperature controller does not control the electrical power.)
Turn o the gas at the manual gas valve, usually located immediately below the heater.

Keep the appliance area clear and free from combusble materials, gasoline, and other
ammable vapors and liquids.
