Technical Bullen 160 - Rinnai I-Series Boiler Combuson Analysis
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Technical Bullen is to communicate that the I-Series Condensing Boiler
does not require combuson analysis to be performed on the boiler at commissioning.
I-Series Condensing Boiler Models (Combi and Heat-Only) include:
Many modulang condensing boilers on the market require a combuson analysis test to be
performed on the boiler during the installaon and/or commissioning process. The O2/CO2
percentage would then be adjusted to a factory-specied value. Due to the innovave, self-
compensang zero governor gas valve integrated into the I-Series Boiler, a combuson analysis test is
not required.
Note: The proper gas supply pressure must sll be supplied to the boiler to ensure proper operaon.
The installaon must conform to the Boiler Installaon and Operaon Manual that is shipped with the
unit, local codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the Naonal Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA
54, or the Natural Gas and Propane Installaon Code, CSA B149.1.
