Water Filter Inspecon, Detecon & Cleaning
A. Inspecon:
To maintain opmum performance, periodically inspect the water lter.
To clean the water lter follow the cleaning procedure described in Step C.
If the water lter appears damaged, contact a qualied service provider for a replacement lter (Part No.
107000032)
B. Detecon:……..(Controller Flashing 07 or 63)
Flashing 07 is an indicaon that the water lter is dirty or restricng water ow thru the water heater.
Although the water heater will connue to operate the cleaning procedure described in Step C should be
performed as soon as possible.
Flashing 63 is an indicaon that the water lter is blocked and the appliance can no longer connue to
heat water. Follow the cleaning procedure described in Step C.
If the controller connues to ash the error code aer cleaning the water lter, turn o the unit and
contact a qualied service provider as this may indicate a pump error.
C. Cleaning:
1. Power OFF the water heater
Push the round power buon located on the right hand side of the controller.
Display will go blank when the power is o.
2. Remove the lower enclosure.
Remove the screws around the perimeter of the pump enclosure
Remove the enclosure by rst pulling away the boom poron.
3. Drain and Relieve pressure from the system
Close the cold water supply valve on the water heater
Open any hot water xture and leave open to allow draining
Aach one end of a hose to the drain valve and posion the other end of the hose at a near by drain.
4. Remove the lter by turning the thumb screw in a counterclockwise moon.
6. Clean the lter and remove any debris that may reduce water ow.
7. Replace the lter. Turn the thumb screw in clockwise direcon unl nger ght.
8. Close the drain valve and open the cold water supply valve leaving the hot water xture open unl all air
is out of the system
9. Power ON the water heater and set to desired temperature.
10. Close the hot water xture when nished.
