Microphone extension cables (EC-04 series)
Be sure to turn power to the unit OFF before separating the microphone
from the main unit.
To reduce measurement deviations due to refraction effects and the acoustic
in uence of the operator, the microphone can be detached from the unit and
connected via an extension cable. Available cables are listed in the table
below. Combining multiple cables is also possible.
Typ e Lengt h Typ e Lengt h
EC-04 2 m EC-04C 30 m (reel) + 5 m (connection cable)
EC-04A 5 m EC-04D 50 m (reel) + 5 m (connection cable)
EC-04B 10 m EC-04E 100 m (reel) + 5 m (connection cable)
Important
With long extension cables, the cable capaci-
tance restricts the upper measurement frequency
and measurement level. For details, refer to the
Technical Notes.
1. Loosen the preampli er fastening screw and remove the preampli er
from the main unit.
Important
Never separate the microphone and preampli-
er, because this can lead to damage.
Before using the unit and before putting it away,
always check that the microphone grid has not
become loose. If this has happened, refasten
the microphone grid  rmly and then use or store
the unit.
Never remove the microphone grid, because
this can lead to damage.
