This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: 1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and 2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
REMOVABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL PROBE NOTE: Use Rival Removable Temperature Control Probe ONLY (NP-01A). Do not use any other attachment plug or control. Alignment: properly align the Locking Switch: to attach, temperature control probe with start in the up position and the terminal post on the griddle. then push downward to lock (after aligning with the griddle terminal post). Release Button: to detach the temperature control probe, press the release button and gently pull the handle away from the griddle.
HOW TO USE 1. Position the griddle on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface. Different countertop finishes and surfaces are effected differently by heat. Use care not to place griddle on any surface where heat may cause a problem. Do not operate the griddle on a finished wood countertop or table. 2. Make sure the drip tray is properly in place. DO NOT OPERATE GRIDDLE WITHOUT DRIP TRAY IN PLACE. 3.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. 1. Before cleaning, turn the switch to the OFF position, unplug from outlet and allow to cool. After the appliance has cooled, disconnect the temperature control probe. 2. Before initial use and following each subsequent use, wash the griddle in dishwasher or in warm soapy water. THE TERMINAL POST ON THE GRIDDLE MUST ALWAYS BE DRY BEFORE USE.

Según el acabado y el tipo de encimera que tenga, puede ser afectada de diferentes maneras por el calor. Tenga cuidado de no poner la plancha eléctrica en una superficie donde el calor pueda causar un daño. No use la plancha eléctrica en una encimera o mesa con acabado de madera. Asegúrese que la bandeja recoge goteo está en posición. NO USE LA PLANCHA SIN LA BANDEJA EN POSICIÓN.
CONTROL DE TEMPRATURA REMOVIBLE ATENCIÓN: Use SOLAMENTE el Control de Temperatura Rival (NP-01A). No use ningún otro tipo de enchufe o control de temperatura. Alineación: alinee adecuadamente el control de temperatura con los postes en la plancha. Mecanismo de Bloqueo: para bloquear, empiece en la posición vertical y luego empuje hacia abajo (después de haber alineado los postes).
