Complete a DVIR
When going On Duty (see page 29)
or Off Duty (see page 35), you
should complete a Driver-Vehicle
Inspection Report, or DVIR. You
can complete a DVIR at any time,
though.
A DVIR lets you log and track
defects in your tractor, trailer, or
both. You can also state if defects
are bad enough to make the
vehicle unsafe to drive.
