• The tape is tribocharging and is not suitable for use in an EPA. It is
however suitable for sealing secondary packaging of electrostatic sensitive
devices such as cardboard boxes
• A conventional self-adhesive PVC tape
• Uses an acrylic gum adhesive. The tape is yellow and is printed in black
with the ESD hand-in-triangle logo specified by EN 61340-5
• Roll width is 50mm, roll length is 66m

ESD Packaging Tape
Description
A conventional self-adhesive PVC tape suitable for sealing outer cartons, with a
printed ESD warning. The tape is yellow and the black printed warning features
the ESD hand-in-triangle logo specified by EN 61340-5.

Replace regular adhesive tapes with Antistatic tapes complying with EN 61340-5
• All generators of electrostatic charges, such as untreated plastic films, foams, synthetic fibres, adhesive tapes, etc., must be
prohibited and should be kept away from the EPA. (EN 61340-5-2 section 6)
• EPA should never have any electrostatic generative adhesive tapes or labels, as these can cause very high potentials when applied or
stripped off. (EN 61340-5-1 section 7.4)
