Trigger Spray-head Shortage: Guide to Rinsing and Reusing
The high demand for spray disinfection products and supply chain issues caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic has resulted in a temporary, world-wide shortage of trigger-spray
heads. Until this situation is resolved RND advises all customers to retain and re-use spray heads where possible.
Cleaning products should not be mixed, so it is necessary to thoroughly rinse away any residual product from spray heads if they are to be used with different products.
RND recommend that
safety glasses and
chemical resistant
gloves are worn when
cleaning spray heads.
Read the product label
before removing the
trigger spray, to check if
any additional Personal
Protective Equipment
(PPE) is required.

Immerse the spray tube
into a container of clean,
warm water. (Ensure
trigger's nozzle is in the
'open' or 'spray' position.)
Once rinsed, lift the spray
tube out of the water and
squeeze trigger 3-4 times
to empty remaining water
out of the spray tube. The
trigger spray can now be
re-used or stored.
