FAIRHAVEN™ CABINET INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This instruction sheet contains information on how to

install Fairhaven™ cabinets. The cabinets are available

for surface mounting and semi-recess mounting.

When installing cabinets, follow these steps:

1. Read the “General Notes” section.

2. Read “Cabinet Dimensions” and “Cabinet Location”

on page 2.

3. Read the speciﬁ c instruction for how your cabinet

will be mounted. The cabinets can be mounted in

the following ways:

Surface mounted (see “How to Surface Mount”

on page 4)

Recess mounted (see “How to Recess Mount”

on page 5)

4. If you have purchased an Electrical option with your

cabinet, read “Wiring an Electrical Option” on page

5. Read the “Adjustments & Maintenance” section on

page 7.

General Notes

Unpack the cabinet. Check the box thoroughly for all

hardware and loose parts as follows:

WARNING: An Electrical Option cabinet contains

GFCI receptacle(s). DO NOT install this cabinet on a

circuit that powers life support equipment. DO NOT

use the GFCI receptacles in the cabinet to power life

support equipment since a trip of the GFCI would shut

down the life support equipment.

NOTE: The Door is factory set and should not need

adjustment. Do not remove the door. However, if the

door does need to be adjusted refer to Figure I on Page

7 for adjustment.

For the doors to operate properly, the cabinets must be

installed in a square and plumb manner. Use a Square

and Level when installing a cabinet.

Save these instructions for future use and reference.

An improper installation voids the warranty. Installed

cabinets cannot be returned.

If you experience any problems with your cabinet,

contact your dealer or Robern directly.

How to Surface Mount Surface mounted cabinets use the “Z” Mounting Bars to hold the cabinets. No holes are cut in the wall. Refer to Figure C on page 3. How to Recess Mount 1. Place the cabinet into the rough opening and make sure the cabinet is level. IMPORTANT! The rough opening must be must be framed on all four sides and at least 3 ¾” (95.2 mm). Overall rough-in dimensions should be 18 1/2” x 29 1/4” (469.9 mm x 742.9 mm). NOTE: You may need assistance from another person to support the door during step 2. 2.

Wiring an Electrical Option WARNING: An Electrical option cabinet must be wired to a 20 Amp GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) circuit breaker when used in bathrooms and all other locations required by the National Electric Code. DANGER: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, shut off power before wiring the cabinet.

Adjustments & Maintenance Doors Final Assembly The cabinet doors have a three-way adjustment feature. Height, level, and fit-to-frame can all be adjusted using a #2 Phillips Head screwdriver. 1. Insert clear snap-in Shelf Clips into the holes on the sides of the cabinet. See Figure J. ■ HEIGHT: If the door is too high or low, adjust the door 2. Push one side of the shelf into the left or right clip (A). down or up with screw #2 as shown in Figure I.

Comment effectuer le montage en surface Les armoires montées en surface requièrent les barres de montage en «Z» pour maintenir les armoires. Aucun trou n’est percé dans le mur. Voir schéma C en page 11. Comment effectuer le montage encastré 1. Placer l’armoire dans l’ouverture brute et s’assurer que l’armoire est de niveau. IMPORTANT! L’ouverture brute doit être clouée sur les quatre côtés et à un minimum de 3 ¾” (95,2 mm). Les dimensions générales de la retenue devraient être 18 1/2” x 29 1/4” (469,9 mm x 742,9 mm). NOTE : Vous aurez peut-être besoin de l’aide d’une autre personne pour soutenir la porte pendant l’étape 2. 2.

Poser les fils d’une option électrique DANGER : Afin de réduire le risque de choc électrique, couper le courant avant de poser les fils de l’armoire. AVERTISSEMENT : Une armoire munie d’une option électrique doit être reliée à un disjoncteur (interrupteur de défaut à la terre) de 20 ampères lorsqu’elle est installée dans une salle de bains et dans tout autre endroit où l’exige le Code national de l’électricité.

Réglages et entretien Portes Montage final Les portes de l’armoire possèdent une caractéristique de réglage à 3 voies. La hauteur, le niveau et l’ajustement au cadre peuvent tous être réglés en utilisant un tournevis Phillips #2. ■ HAUTEUR : Si la porte est trop haute ou trop basse, réglez la hauteur de la porte avec la vis #2 tel qu’illustré à la schéma I. Cette vis est située à l’intérieur de la charnière et la porte doit être ouverte selon un angle d’environ 90° afin d’accéder à la vis.

Cómo montar gabinetes en la superficie Los gabinetes montados en la superficie utilizan Barras de Montaje en “Z” para detener los gabinetes. No se hacen agujeros en la pared. Consulte la Figura C en la página 19. Cableando una opción eléctrica ADVERTENCIA: Un gabinete de opción eléctrica debe estar cableado a un interruptor de circuito de IFT (Interruptor de Falla a Tierra) de 20 Amperios cuando se usa en baños y en todas las demás ubicaciones requeridas por el Código Eléctrico Nacional. Ajustes y mantenimiento Puertas Ensamblado Final Las puertas del gabinete tienen la característica de ajuste de 3 vías. La altura, nivel y el ajuste al marco se pueden ajustar utilizando un desarmador plano Phillips del #2. ■ ALTURA: Si la puerta está muy alta o baja, ajuste la puerta hacia abajo o hacia arriba con el tornillo #2 como se muestra en la Figura I. Este tornillo está ubicado por dentro de la bisagra y requiere que la puerta se abra a 90 grados aproximadamente para acceder al tornillo.
