IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
*These instructions are provided for your safety.
*It is very important that they are read completely before beginning the installation of your fi xture.
*If any special control devices are used with this fi xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.
requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualifi ed electrical contractor.
*WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSTALLATION BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
*Turn off power at switch before replacing bulbs, making sure fi xture has had suffi cient time to cool down.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE
MAIN FUSE BOX/ CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from carton and discard packing materials.
3. Place the parts on a level surface.
4. Carefully unthread collar (J) from hang straight (E). Slide collar (J)
and canopy (I) down extensions (H) until they rest on housing (K).
5. Remove quick link (F) from loop (G). Keep quick link (F) attached to
hang straight (E).
6. Affi x cross bar (B) (with threaded nipple (D) and hang straight
(E) attached) to the ceiling outlet box using screws (C) provided.
7. Measure desired drop for fi xture to hang and add/remove extension
tubes (H) as needed. Guide wiring through extension tubes before
threading tubes together.
**TO ADD/REMOVE EXTENSIONS: (Un)Thread the threaded nipple
of one extension into/out of the threaded opening of the next
extension. Make sure electrical cord is pulled tight when threading
extensions together to prevent damage to the wiring.**
8. Lift fi xture to ceiling and secure quick link (F) to loop (G). Carefully
guide wire through hang straight (E) and into the ceiling outlet box.
9. Make proper electrical connections noted in steps 10 through 12.
A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
10. Attach ground wire from fi xture (green or copper in color) to
ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire
nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
11. Attach hot wire from fi xture (black in color or smooth side of
wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire
nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
12. Attach neutral wire from fi xture (white in color or ribbed side of
wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with
wire nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
13. Gently push wires back into ceiling outlet box.
14. Slide canopy (I) up extensions (H) and hold fl ush against ceiling.
To secure position of canopy (I), slide collar (J) up extensions (H)
and thread it onto hang straight (E).
15. Install (8) 25W MAX. B10 Candelabra base bulbs into the sockets.
16. To attach shades (L) to fi xture, open shade clip, located inside shade
(L), and slide clip over bulb until clip reaches a resting position. (DO
NOT ATTACH SHADES UNLESS POWER TO FIXTURE IS OFF.)
17. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/ circuit breaker and
test the fi xture.
** To clean, use soft cloth only. Do not use any chemical or abrasive
cleaners. **
