No Active Route

There is no active route:

When the navigation application
is selected and a screen stating,
“No Active Route” displays.
Press the Call OnStar button.

If the system receives the
indication that there is an active
OnStar subscription, the help
text is displayed with instructions
on how to set up a route.

When no OnStar is in the
vehicle, the navigation
application icon is removed from
the home screen and application
tray, so this view is not
accessible.
Compass

The compass is shown if simple
navigation assistance is needed,
without an actual set route.
The compass is a display showing
the four cardinal and four ordinal
directions of N, E, S, W, and NE,
SE, SW, NW. The display is rotated
about its center point with the top of
the display indicating the current
vehicle heading. The display rotates
at 45 degree increments with the
following angles defining the
directions:N = 0 degrees
NE = 45 degrees
E = 90 degrees
SE = 135 degrees
S = 180 degrees
SW = 225 degrees
W = 270 degrees
NW = 315 degrees
