3. DESCRIPTION
Roberts 8015 is a universal solvent-free carpet sealer developed for seaming
most types of carpets, including vinyl backed, and to prevent edge raveling.
May also be used to repair bubbles in installations.

Uses
For seaming carpet edges and to prevent edge raveling on polypropylene,
jute, urethane latex and unitary carpets. This product is not recommended for
seaming vinyl flooring.

Up to 660 lineal feet per quart
Limitations
• Ensure substrate, carpet and adhesive are fully acclimated prior to
installation at the same temperature and humidity level expected during
normal use (65–95°F) with <65% relative humidity.
• Be careful not to get sealer on carpet nap.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during flooring installation.

standards, and manufacturer’s guidelines and specific recommendations
prior to installation for additional information.

5. INSTRUCTIONS
Installation
Prepare/cut carpet edges according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
Apply a 1/8" bead of adhesive to one side of the carpet along the backing and
where the face yarns enter the backing (not the cushion). Smooth out any
excess adhesive. Join the carpet seams while the sealer is still wet.
Curing
Up to 12–24 hours. High temperature and low humidity will cause the adhesive
to cure faster.
Clean-up
Within 10 minutes after seaming carpet use mineral spirits
sparingly with a clean, white cotton cloth. DO NOT POUR CLEANER
DIRECTLY ONTO FLOORING.
