8015 Solvent Free
Universal Carpet Seam Sealer
is a solvent free adhesive recom-
mended for polypropylene, jute,
urethane, latex unitary and
woven backed carpets. Seals car-
pet edges to prevent unraveling
and/or delamination of carpet
backings and yarns, and to repair
bubbles in installations. Roberts
8015 can be used on glue-down,
direct stick and conventional stretch-in installations
and is resistant to mildew, fungus and professional
carpet cleaning. ROBERTS 8015 IS NOT RECOM-
MENDED FOR SEAMING SHEETGOODS OR VINYL
BACKED CARPETS.

Ventilation: Implement effective ventilation before,
during and after installation by opening windows
and doors for an adequate supply of fresh air.
Consider using window fans and/or air movers to
bring in fresh air and enhance the curing time
of the sealer.
Preparation & Application:
• Roberts 8015 adhesive is NOT freeze-thaw stable.
Do not allow the adhesive to freeze.
• The Roberts 8015 adhesive and substrate must be
at least 65°F (18.3°C) or higher if recommended
by the flooring manufacturer.
•Prepare and cut the carpet edges according to the
manufacturer recommendations.
Conventional and Double Glue Installation:
• Apply to BOTH sides of the carpet along the back-
ing and where the face yarns enter the backing
(not the cushion) with a Roberts 10-145 Applicator
Bottle. Smooth out any excess
adhesive being careful not to get any adhesive
on the carpet nap.
•Allow the adhesive on both edges of the carpet to
become dry to the touch before joining the seam.
Coverage:
Roberts 8015 8.45 fl oz (250 mL) container
covers approximately 165 lineal feet.
Roberts 8015 1 qt (946 mL) container covers
approximately 625 lineal feet.
Clean Up: Within 10 minutes after using the Roberts
8015 Universal Seam Sealer, use Roberts 1912
Adhesive Cleaner sparingly with a clean white cot-
ton cloth to completely remove any traces of sealer
on the carpet surface. Wipe clean all seams to
ensure that there is no excess sealer left on the face
of the yarn that can eventually attract dirt. DO NOT
POUR CLEANER DIRECTLY ONTO FLOORING.
USING TOO MUCH CLEANER CAN CAUSE PERMA-
NENT DAMAGE AND TEMPORARY SWELLING OF
THE CARPET.

Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness
for particular use is limited to one year from date of
purchase. Liability for any incidental or consequential
damage or loss is specifically excluded at all times.

implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for
particular use is excluded.
First Aid:
Skin Contact: Remove fresh adhesive with warm
water and soap. Consult physician
if irritation develops.
Eye Contact: Flood with large quantities of water
for 15 minutes. See physician if
irritation develops.
Ingestion: Do not enduce vomiting. If victim
is conscious, give water to dilute.
Contact a physician immediately.
