Chapter 7-7
Setting Robomow and using Advanced Features
7.2.10 Signal Type
Use the “Signal Type” to change the frequency of the Perimeter
Wires signal from type A (default) to type B.
P In order to switch to type B signal, remove the signal jumper from Base
Station/Perimeter Wires board (see picture).
c IMPORTANT c Keep the signal jumper in a safe place, in
case you need to reinsert it in the future.
P In order to return to the default type A signal, insert the signal jumper to
Base Station/Perimeter Wires board.
Changing the signal type is usually a result of interference to the Perimeter
Wire signal. It may be caused by a signal from another wire in an adjacent
lawn (neighbor uses a robotic mower), or by any other electrical appliance
using the same frequency.
P Possible symptoms of interference:
) If mower is widely swinging when driving along the wire.
) If mower changes direction without reaching the wire.
) If mower crosses the Perimeter Wire outside of the
designated area.
) If ‘Start inside’ message is displayed even when Robomow
is inside the designated area and the Perimeter Wire is
connected in the right polarity
