When approaching merges, the sensor will report a sudden spread of the left and right tracks, but will other-
wise operate the same way as at forks, as shown in Figure 5, below:

Both track positions can be read via the serial port.
The selected track will be based on the command received via the sensor’s serial/USB port, or set using the
sensor’s scripting language.
