Important Warning
Hall Sensor misalignment cannot be corrected by the controller. Contact the motor
manufacturer for remedy.
Hall+Encoder Trapezoidal
In case of misaligned hall sensors, a quadrature encoder can be used in order to help in
commutation and make it more optimal. In Hall+Encoder trapezoidal both Hall Sensors and
a quadrature encoder are used. The Hall sensors are used in order to define the electrical 0
on the rotor. Then the encoder is used in order to commutate in a 6-state trapezoidal mode.
In that way the bad hall alignment can be fixed by modifying accordingly the BADJ config-
uration command.
Hall+Encoder Trapezoidal mode is selected via the Switching Mode configuration menu in
the Roborun PC utility.
