3 Touch Patient Test.
4 If the Patient ID option was chosen as either
Optional or Required when the meter was set up
(see “Meter Setup”/“Patient ID”), you are prompted
to enter a Patient ID

■ If Required, enter the Patient ID, then touch to
move to the next screen.
■ If Optional, ignore the prompt and touch to
move to the next screen. The meter will assign the
test a consecutive number.
■ If neither option was chosen, a screen appears that
prompts you to insert a test strip.
■ Continue with Step 9.
