Chapter 1: Understanding Your New System ACCU-CHEK Customer Care Service Center 1-800-858-8072
Coding the Meter
Change the code key every time you open a new box of test strips.
Be sure the code key matches the code on the test strip container. If they don’t match, you could get inaccurate results.
1. With the meter off, slide the orange code key into the code key slot.
It should easily snap into place.
2. When you insert a test strip (see Chapter 3, “Running a Blood Sugar
Test”), make sure the code on the meter matches the code on the
test strip container.
3. Throw away the old code key.
Notes:
If code---” appears on the display, remove the test strip to
turn off the meter, make sure the code key is all the way in,
then turn on the meter again.
Don’t force the code key into the meter; it only goes in one
way.
If the code number on the display does not match the code
number on the test strip container, call the ACCU-CHEK
Customer Care Service Center at 1-800-858-8072.
