. Attach the threaded post to the body. The end with the hole goes at the top of the carrier for the padlock. The post is long so you can adjust it for the size of your spare tire wheel. Leave enough post out the top of the carrier for your spare tire and the Rock Slide Star that holds your tire in place. Attach the post underneath the carrier with the large round painted washer, then the ¾” washer, then tighten with nut (see below).

Put large black painted washer onthe post and lay on spare tire. Turn the Rock Slide Star onto the post and onto the washer on spare tire. 9. Use a padlock of your choice to secure star to post.
