5-28 ProcessLogix Client Installation and Upgrade Procedures
Checking Control Builder Operation and Logging On
(Engineering Workstation Only)
Use the following general procedure to log on and check Control
Builder operation on a ProcessLogix Engineering Workstation.
1. Click Start
⇒Programs⇒ProcessLogix Engineering
Tools
⇒Control Builder.
2. In the Login dialog box, make these entries:
a. Key in >mngr< as the default User Name.
b. Key in >mngr1< as the default Password.
c. Key in the name of the appropriate Server node in the Server
Name field.
3. Click OK.
Generic Comm Layer Settings (Engineering Workstation Only)
This procedure is required only if the ProcessLogix Server’s names
were changed during the upgrade process or if the topology of the
system changed. Most upgrading systems will not be required to make
modifications in this area.
1. Click Start
⇒Run.
2. Key in this command in the Open entry field:
>regedit<
and click OK.
3. Select the registry location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Honeywell\TPS50\
Generic Comm Layer\Host Config
IMPORTANT
Only modify these settings if communication
problems ensue.
