Operation: Description:
Change tools Alter oneof the toolnumbers that hasalready been entered in the group. Move thecursor to thetool number tobe changed
by pressingthe upor downcursor keys (movethe cursor fullpages byholding downthe shift keywhile pressinga cursor
key). Press the {CHANGETOOL}softkey. Key in the new toolnumber andpress the [TRANSMIT] key.
Insert tools Insert a newtool number for that group. Move thecursor tothe locationto insert anew tool numberat by pressingthe upor
down cursor keys (move the cursor fullpages byholding downthe shift keywhile pressinga cursor key). Press the
{INSERTTOOL}softkey. Key in the new toolnumber andpress the [TRANSMIT] key. The actualrange of allowabletool
numbers is1 to9999.
Delete tool Remove atool number from that group. Move thecursor to the tool numberto beremoved by pressing theup ordown
cursor keys(move thecursor full pagesby holdingdown theshift key whilepressing acursor key). Press the{DELETE
TOOL}softkey. Respond yesor no andpress [TRANSMIT].
Change life type Alter how the control records andmeasures toollife for that group. Press the {CHANGETYPE} softkey. The prompt “LIFE
TYPE...” is displayed online 2of the CRT. The samelife typeis assignedto all toolsin any one toolgroup. Key in the
number of thedesired toollife measurement typefor that group and press the[TRANSMIT] key. 0 for “time,”1 for “number of
tool uses,”and 2for “distance.”
Change life threshold rate Alter the percentageof a tool’ s expectedlife sothat a toolis labeledas old. This percentageapplies to all tools inthe
selected group. To alter thethreshold percentage(the percentageof total toollife that hasbeen usedbefore atool willbe
classified as old) press the{CHANGE TRATE} softkey. Key in thepercentage of the total tool’ s lifeso that thetool is
classified as old andpress the[TRANSMIT] key. Tool life thresholdrate isexplained earlierin this section.
