Message Description
BAD RAMDISC SECTOR CHECKSUM ERROR A RAM disksector error was detectedduring theRAM checksum test at power-up. Attempt to
power-up again. If the error remains, contact Allen-Bradleycustomer support services.
BAD RECORDIN PROGRAM This indicates aserious problem withthe program. Attempt to open the program asecond time.
If retry doesnt work, youmay haveto deletethe program. Typically this error isnot caused by a
programmer or operator action. It is typicallycaused byan internalsoftware errorin the
program.
BAD STATE/TOKENCOMBINATION (PROGRAM
ERROR)
While attempting to decode thecurrent block, a combinationof characters caused a decode
error tooccur. Check thecharacters inthe current blockfor an illegalcombination.
BATTERY FAILURE The batterythat provides backupof the RAM memoryis not functioning; thevoltage maybe low.
The battery may bedead, removed, or poorly connected.
BLK DELETECHG IGNOREDON PREPARED BLKS A block-deletewas activatedwhile aprogram was executing. This changeis ignoredby the
control for blocksthat have already been readinto the controls set-up buffer (seeblock
look-ahead in users manual).
BLOCK LENGTHERROR Ablock that exceedsthe allowablemaximum block lengthwas programmed.
BLOCK RETRACEABORTED Theblock retraceoperation beingperformed hasbeen canceled. When <CYCLESTART>is
pressed, the control will returnthe toolalong alinear path back to thestart-point of the block
retrace operation.
BOOT DIRECTORYIS MISSING Theupdate utilityfailed toproperly createthe systemboot directory. Retry the update. If the
error occursagain, contact your local AllenBradley service.
BOOTSTRAP FAILED TO START The bootstrapcode didnot send theok signalto themain processorwithin the specified time.
BOTH AXESIN QPPPLANE NOT PRGMD The secondblock of a currently executing QuickPathPlus two-blockset does not containboth
required axis words inthe current plane. Both axiswords arerequired tocorrectly identifythe
end-point of the second move.
BOTH LINESARE PARALLEL Bothblocks of atwo-block QPP sequenceare parallel, andno mathematicalintersection canbe
computed.
BOTH PORTS ARE BUSY An attempt was madeto use or monitor communicationports A orB whenneither were
available.
BUSY, REQUEST IGNORED You haverequested anoperation whilethe controlis currentlyexecuting someother higher
priority function. The controlmust first complete the higher prioritytask beforeyour new task
can be performed.
C
CALLED 7300PATTERN NAMEIS BAD The 7300pattern namethat is calledby a part program does not exist .
CANCEL/REMOVE OFFSETBEFORE AXIS CHANGE Youhave attemptedto changethe activetool lengthaxis whilean lengthoffset iscurrently
active on that axis. You must canceltool length offsets beforeyou areallowed to change the
active tool length axis.
CANNOT (GOTO) TO INSIDE A(DO) A (GOTO) command cannot transferexecution toa block which islocated within a (DO) loop.
CANNOT ACCESS REMOTE VARIABLE Variable nameis invalid. Check thefields for CNCname andremote name, andmake surethey
are in the correct format.
CANNOT ACTIVATE - OPENPROGRAM Anattempt was madeto activatea programfor execution when it wasstill open for an editing
operation. Before it canbe activatedfor automatic execution, it isnecessary topress the {EXIT
EDITOR}softkey fromthe edit menuto closea program being edited.
CANNOT ACTIVATE RAM PARTITION The RAM diskhas beencorrupted. Attempt to perform aREFORMAT operation. If this is
unsuccessful, consult Allen-Bradley customersupport services.
CANNOT ASSIGN IN CURRENTMODE An attempt wasmade tomodify aparamacro parameter that cannot bemodified whenthe cutter
compensation or TTRC feature is active.
CANNOT CALCULATE- PROMPTPRESENT An attempt toperform a calculateoperation wasmade whensome other prompt was present on
line 2 of the CRT. Before thecontrol will allowa calculationto bemade, it is necessaryto
remove any prompts from line2 .
