Message Description
CANNOT COPY The requestedcopying taskcannot be performeddue toan internalproblem in the file or RAM
disk. Contact Allen-Bradley customer support service.
CANNOT DELETE - OPEN PROGRAM Theselected program iseither activeor open for editingand cannot bedeleted.
CANNOT DELETE ALL PROGRAMS An attempt wasmade todelete allpart programs or toreformat RAM whilea program wasbeing
edited or was currently selectedas theactive programfor execution.
CANNOT DELETE PROGRAM Thefile selectedcannot be deleted. This iscaused bya majorerror being detected in the actual
software file of the program. It may be necessary to “REFORMAT”RAM to remove the
program. If this is unsuccessful, contact Allen-Bradleycustomer support service.
CANNOT DIVIDE BY ZERO An attempt wasmade todivide aquantity byzero, either using theCALC functionsor in an
executing program with aparamacro operator.
CANNOT EDIT -- FILE UPLOADING Thefile you’vetried toopen isalready openand isin themiddle of apart program upload or
download operation with ODS.
CANNOT EDIT - MUSTBE IN CYCLEOR E-STOP Anattempt was madeto edit apart program while another part program was currentlybeing
executed.
CANNOT EDIT - OPENPROGRAM The program that you haveselected for editingis currentlyopen for anotherfeature.
CANNOT EDIT - OTHERFILE IS BEINGEDITED An attempt was made toedit a part programwhile another part program was currentlybeing
edited.
CANNOT EDIT ACTIVE PROGRAM Anattempt was madeto edit aprogram that is currentlyselected asthe activeprogram for
execution. Before it canbe edited, theprogram must first be disabled.
CANNOT EXIT INCYCLE You cannot exit in the middle of aroughing cyclebecause it executesat runtime, not during
setup.
CANNOT FIND CORRECT POSITION The program-restart featurecannot locate thecorrect program blockin theprogram at which
automatic executionwas interrupted. To positionthe programat the correct block, it will be
necessary toperform one of the other searchoperations. The operator must knowwhat this
correct block isas thecontrol hasfailed itsrecover operation.
CANNOT FIND PAL PAGE PAL requested a PAL displaypage tobe displayedthat does not exist inthe displaypage file.
CANNOT FORMAT- OPENPROGRAM A program wasselected forautomatic executionor was stillin theedit mode whena request to
format memory wasmade. The active program must bedisabled bypressing the{CANCEL
PRGRAM} softkey, and anyprogram being editedmust be closedby pressingthe {EXIT
EDITOR}softkey beforeformatting memory.
CANNOT FORMATRAM PARTITION The controlis unableto format memorydue toopen fileconditions indicatinga moreserious
problem. Consult Allen-Bradley customer support services.
CANNOT JOG -- ALL AXESARE PARKED Anattempt was madeto joga dualgroup whenall theaxes were parked.
CANNOT MERGE WITH SAME PROGRAM An attempt wasmade to merge the sameprogram that is beingedited withitself. If this is
desirable, first copy theoriginal program, thenmerge thecopy intothe original.
CANNOT OPEN DIRECTORY This indicatesa seriousRAM disk problem. If retry doesn’t work, you mayhave toreformat.
CANNOT OPEN PROGRAM FOR READ Thisindicates aserious problem withthe program. If retry doesn’t work, youmay haveto delete
the program.
CANNOT OPEN PROGRAM FOR WRITE An error occurred whileattempting toopen afile onthe RAM disk. Either theRAM disk isfull, or
there is an internalproblem withthe file. The filemay needto bedeleted.
CANNOT OPEN SUBPROGRAM An attempt to call a sub-programhas failed. This isusually causedby thesub-program name
(programmed in the calling block witha P-word) not existing inthe current program directory.
CANNOT READ A WRITE-ONLY PARAMETER An attempt wasmade touse thevalue of aparamacro system parameterthat is awrite-only
parameter. This parameter mayhave onlyits valuewritten to. It cannot be read.
CANNOT READ DIRECTORY This indicatesa seriousRAM disk problem. If retry doesn’t work, youmay haveto reformat.
CANNOT READ PROGRAM This indicatesa seriousproblem with the program. If retry doesn’t work, you may have todelete
the program.
