Message Description
CHARACTERS MUSTFOLLOW WILDCARD Youhave usedincorrect search stringsyntax inthe PAL searchmonitor utility.
CHECKSUM ERRORIN FILE The file (AMP, PAL) being downloadedfrom a storagedevice hasa checksum error. The file
cannot be used.
CIRCLE MID-POINTNOT ENTERED Thecenter-point of an arcis not enteredin acircular programming block. Circular blocks
require programming either anR or anI, J, K in the block.
CIRCULAR BLOCKNOT ALLOWED Whenactivating cuttercompensation, you cannot programa circularblock asthe first blockor
as thelast block prior todeactivating cutter compensation.
CIRCULAR NOTALLOWED AFTERSKIP A circular move cannot immediately follow aG31 orG37 seriesskip block. Only linearmoves
are permitted as thenext move followinga G31 or G37type code.
CIRCULAR PROGRAMMINGERROR A circular motionwas programmedincorrectly. Typically thisoccurs from incorrectly
programming an R orI, J or Kvalue.
CODING ERROR A system software errorhas occurred. Consult Allen-Bradley customer support services.
COM COMMANDTABLE IS CORRUPTED Restore the flash version of theoutput command table.
COM CONFIGURATION TABLE IS CORRUPTED Restore the flash version of the communication configurationtable.
COMM ERRORWHILE PROCESSING HOSTREQUEST A communicationerror occurred betweenyour PC and9/Series whileperforming anupdate
utility. Retry at a lower baud rate. If that doesnot work checkcommunication ports, connections
and cable wiring.
COMMUNICATION TIME-OUT Thetime allowedfor aperipheral device torespond has elapsed. Check cable connectionsand
device set-up.
COMMUNICATIONS DISPLAY PAGE ENABLED When aremote host enablesthe 9/Series remote operatordisplay screen, thismessage is
displayed.
COMMUNICATIONS LINK IS DOWN A problem wasdetected inthe communicationsline. Check thecables andretry the
download/upload.
COMPLETED WITHERROR(S) AQuickCheck syntaxcheck operationhas completedthe checkof the currentlyactive program
and found one or more errors. Some editingof the program isrequired.
COMPLETED WITHNO ERRORS A QuickChecksyntax checkoperation hascompleted thecheck of thecurrently active program
and found no syntax errors.
CONFIGURATION EXCEEDS AVAIL MEMORY This error occurswhen theamount of available controlmemory dropsbelow what isrequired to
maintain a minimum 5block setupbuffer for program execution. The system isheld inE-Stop
when this error occurs. You mayeither chose toadd morememory toyour system or
re-configure your system by decreasingthe watchlist allocation (inAMP) for OCI systems.
CONTINUE NOTALLOWED Anattempt was madeto continuea program searchwhen nocharacter string was entered. This
can occur when anerror is generatedby theprogram being searchedand thecontrol cannot
continue the search of the program correctly.
CONTROL RESET NOTALLOWED The ControlReset Request was not honoredby thecontrol (e.g., aControl Reset Request
during Cycle Suspended state).
CORRUPTED PROGRAMFOUND &DELETED Program was foundto becorrupted andnot usable. This program wasdeleted.
CPU #2DUALPORTRAM FAILED The DUALPORT RAMmemory sharedbetween the68000 mainprocessor and the Z80 I/O ring
processor hasfailed. (two 98030’ s insteadof the 68000and Z80on 9/230, 9/260, and9/290
controls)
