Error and System Messages
Appendix B
B-10
Message Description
CYLIND/VIRTUALCONFIGURATION ERROR An axis configuration errorwas detectedby thecontrol whencylindrical interpolationor end face
milling was requested ina programblock. Some exampleswould include:
A cylindrical/virtualaxis isnamed sameas areal axis oris missing(for example on a
lathe A, the cylindrical axismay havebeen namedthe sameas aincremental axisname).
A cylindrical/virtualaxis isnamed thesame asanother programing command(for example
a secondary auxiliary word, theangle word, etc...).
D
D-WORD ISGREATER THANTOOLDIA. The programmedD-word valueis greater thanthe tool diameter of the current tool.
D-WORD ISLESS THANAMP THRESHOLD The D-wordhas beenprogrammed witha valuethat is toosmall.
D-WORD OUTOF RANGE More than 1000 auto-dress operations werespecified bythe D-wordin agrinder fixedcycle.
DAC MONITOR CIPCON This messagecomes upon power-up, afterpatch AMPhas beenmodified toinvoke DAC
monitoring of the coarse incremental position command.
DAC MONITOR F. E. ON The axis-following error isbeing output tothe DACoutput port for monitoring anddebugging.
Turningparameters 86or 87 ON through patchAMP enablesthis output.
DAC MONITOR FVON This messagecomes upon power-up, after patchAMP has beenmodified to invoke DAC
monitoring of the fine interpolated final velocityfor eachfine iteration(20ms).
DAC MONITOR INTEGRATORON This messagecomes upon power-up, after patchAMP hasbeen modifiedto invokeDAC
monitoring of the velocity errorintegrator accum.
DAC MONITOR VELERROR ON Thismessage comesup onpower-up, after patch AMPhas beenmodified toinvoke DAC
monitoring of the velocity error.
DAC MONITOR VELOCITYON The axisvelocity commandis being output to theDAC output port for monitoringand
debugging. Turning ON parameters 86or 87 through patch AMP enables thisoutput.
DATAMAY BE OUTPUTTOPRINTER ONLY The information being output bythe controlis intended to goto aprinter. Make surethat the
output port that is selectedis properlyconnected toa printerand tryagain.
DATASTARVED The control is waitingfor the next programblock toset up. Typically, this is theresult of the
control executinga part programfaster than it can beread from aperipheral devicesuch asa
tape reader. This error often occurs immediately afterthe executionof several veryshort,
rapidly executedblocks. To prevent this error from reoccurring, it isrecommended that the
program beloaded intocontrol memory orto a faster peripheraldevice.
DECIMAL POINT ERROR A word or parameter has beenprogrammed withmore thanone decimalpoint.
DECIMAL POINT NOTALLOWED Aword orparameter has beenprogrammed witha decimal point when it canlegally exist only
as aninteger value . For example, the number of repetitions(L) must be an integer value
programmed without a decimal point.
DEFAULTAMP LOADED Thisindicates that thedefault AMP valuesstored inthe control’ s executivememory havebeen
activated. AMP in RAM andAMP inBackup memorywere either unavailableor corrupt. This
message can also occur if the batterybackup fails.
DEFAULTSLOADED The default device set-up parameters were loadedinto the current device.
DEPTH >PROGRAMMED ENDPOINT Thiserror occurs duringa threadingcycle whenthe depthof the cut exceedsthe programmed
final depthof thread.
DEPTH PROBEAXIS MUSTBE LAST Adaptive depthprobe isnot AMPed asthe last axisin thesystem. It must be AMPedafter all
normal axisand afterthe deskewslave andbefore any spindles. Refer to your AMPreference
manual for details.
DEPTH PROBEAXIS NOTAMPED A G26 (adaptivedepth probe)move wasprogrammed but noadaptive depth probe axis has
been specified in AMP. Refer to your 9/Series AMP referencemanual.
DEPTH PROBEFB GEARINGNOT 1:1 The AMP configured gear ratiofor thelogical axis usedas adepth probemust be aone toone
ratio. “Reset Teeth onMotor Gear for Pos. FB” and “Teeth on LeadScrew Gear for Pos. FB”.
