Message Description
HIPERFACE PASSWORD FAILURE During theSINCOS devicesalignment procedure, the logicused toset the passwordsdetects
an incorrect password. A section of thecode willrepeatedly attempt variouscombinations of
each of the passwords tocorrect the errorcondition.
HOME REQUESTON A PARKED AXIS An attempt wasmade, while usingdual axes, to do ahoming operationon aparked axis.
HOMING NOT COMPLETED Anattempt was madeto executea programmedaxis movebefore theaxes havebeen homed.
Axes must behomed beforethey canbe movedthrough part programor MDI commands.
HOME TOLERANCE EXCEEDED This error condition occurs when the homing operation of theindicated axisis aborted due to
the condition of the axis stopping off of the home switch inexcess of 3/8 of an electrical cycleof
the feedback device awayfrom anull marker. If this problem persists youmay needto adjust
either thehome switchposition, or the homeswitch tripdog, or the feedback position. This may
also require you to adjust theAMP Home Calibrationparameter for thisaxis.
I
I/O RING COMMUNICATIONS ERROR A communicationerror hasoccurred inthe fiber opticI/O ring. This isusually causedby a
broken or disconnected fiber opticcable.
I/O RING NOISE WHILEIDLE Anillegal character wasdetected byan opticalreceiver whilethe I/Oring shouldhave beenidle.
The system will try toreset itself. If it cannot reset itself, the system entersE-Stop.
I/O RING NOT CONFIGURED The control cannot runthe I/Oring if it was not configured anddownloaded fromODS or
resident in the PAL PROMs.
I/O RING TIME-OUT A very largeforeground PAL program, combinedwith alarge numberof I/O ringdevices, has
created timing problems forI/O ringcommunications. Reduce PAL program sizeby deleting
unnecessary rungsand optimizethe executionof others.
ILLEGAL (/) VALUE A blockdelete slashvalue greater than /9was programmed. There areonly 9block deletes
available.
ILLEGAL (G) CODE An illegalG-code valuehas beenprogrammed.
ILLEGAL (M) CODE Anillegal M-code value has beenprogrammed.
ILLEGAL ANGLE VALUE A QuickPath Plusblock hasdefined theangle of thenext block incorrectly. There is no possible
path that connects the twotool pathsto theprogrammed end-point usingthe enteredangle.
ILLEGAL APPLICATIONCOMMAND FROMTEACH A non-recognizedSD1-type packet wasreceived ina CMD=61DF1 packet from theteach
pendant interface. Allowable SD1s are1 -- 5.
ILLEGAL AXIS DATA FORMAT Digitized axisdata doesnot fit within theallowable AMPedaxis format. For example, if an axis
inch format is set at 2.3 anda digitizedposition is recorded as121.0, an errorwill begenerated.
The axis display willalso show__.___.
ILLEGAL CHARACTER An undefinedcharacter was enteredin aprogram block andcould not beexecuted. Certain
characters cannot berecognized whilein certainmodes. Also verifythat you areusing the
correct axis andintegrand namesas assignedin AMP.
ILLEGAL CODE DURING G41/G42 An illegalcode wasencountered duringG41/G42 programming.
ILLEGAL CODE DURING VIRTUAL C An illegalcode wasencountered during Virtual C programming.
ILLEGAL CODES IN RANDOM TOOL BLOCK An invalidparameter wasentered ina G10.1L20block that loadsdata intothe Random Tool
table. P, Q, R, and O arethe allowableparameters.
ILLEGAL COMMAND FROM ODS A command was received fromODS that wasnot recognized bythe control.
ILLEGAL COMMAND FROM TEACH PENDANT A non-recognized CMD-typepacket was receivedin aDF1 packet fromthe teachpendant
interface. Allowable CMDs are60 -- 63.
ILLEGAL CONTROL TYPE You have downloadedfrom a peripheraldevice anAMP that does not matchyour
control hardware.
ILLEGAL CPU #2 COMMAND The 68000main processor sent incorrect datato theZ80 I/Oring processor.
(two 98030s insteadof the 68000and Z80on 9/230, 9/260, and 9/290 controls)
ILLEGAL CYLINDRICAL BLOCK A G-code not allowedin acylindrical entryblock or duringcylindrical programmingmode was
programmed.
