Message Description
OVER SPEEDIN POCKETCYCLE The programmed feedrate for anirregular pocket cycle (G89)was toohigh for thecycle to keep
up. The part program stopsat the endpoint of theblock inwhich theerror occurred. The cycle
must be executed with a lower feedrate.
OVERTRAVEL (+) Theindicated axishas reachedthe positivesoftware overtravellimit during anaxis jog. This
message can appear prior toreaching theovertravel limit incertain instances. For example, if a
single pulse from thehandwheel will result ina largeincremental movebeyond theovertravel
limit, this errormessage willappear beforethe axismoves up to thelimit.
OVERTRAVEL (-) The indicated axis hasreached thenegative software overtravel limit duringan axisjog. See
OVERTRAVEL (+) for details.
P
P VALUE OUTOF RANGE Anattempt was madeto calla macroor sub-program using a program number, following the
P-word, that is out of thevalid range. Valid range for a P-wordis 1to 99999.
PAL & 9/SERIESREVISIONS DIFFER Either the overallrevision number of PAL does not match thesoftware revisionon the control, or
the revision number of system symbolsin PAL andthe revisionnumber of those on thecontrol
do not match.
PAL ANALOG PORT ILLEGAL CONFIGURATION This is apower turn-onerror that occurs whenan AMP configurationerror existsin thePAL
analog port configuration.
PAL ANALOG PORT/SERVO F-W INCOMPATIBLE PAL-controlled analogoutput port feature requiresthe servofirmware (f-w) revisions:
Analog servo f-w rev0.06 orgreater
Digital servof-w re. 2.03or greater
Consult Allen-Bradley customersupport services about servofirmware updates.
PAL AXIS STATUS CANNOTCHANGE You attemptedto changethe statusof a PAL axis(either to PAL axis or to a system axis) whenit
is not allowed. Examples of whenthe transitionis not allowedare whenthe axisis jogging,
performing jog retract, performing block retrace, etc...
PAL BACKGROUND TOOK TOO LONG Background PAL wasnot completed inthe time allocated to it inAMP. Background PAL will
continue on to completion beforerestarting. If and whenbackground PAL doescomplete inthe
allocated time, this message willdisappear. If this message appears continuously, the PAL
program shouldbe rewritten, or elsethe AMPdefined backgroundPAL executiontime should be
increased. Refer to theAMP and PALreference manuals for more details.
PAL DIVIDE BYZERO ERROR ThePAL program triedto divide a value byzero. Check thePAL program for errors.
PAL DOES NOTEXIST Thereis noPAL program inthe system, eitheron EPROMor inRAM memory. EPROMs must
be installed, or else PAL must bedownloaded toRAM from ODS.
PAL INITIATED MOTION POSSIBLE Whilein QuickCheckmode it ispossible forPAL to physically move axes. This includes any
motion generated by PAL including the PAL axismover, or jogs that canoccur in automatic
mode such as jogon thefly ormanual gapelimination. This messageis clearedafter the first
block isexecuted inQuickCheck mode.

PAL PAGE WAITING- EXIT DISPLAYSELECT A PAL displaypage is being overwrittenby thecurrent screen. Pressing the{DISPLY SELECT}

PAL PAGE WAITING- EXIT MONITOR A PAL displaypage isbeing overwrittenby thecurrent screen. Exit the searchmonitor utility to
see the screen PAL isattempting todisplay.
PAL PAGE WAITING- SCREEN HASPROMPT A PAL displaypage isbeing overwrittenby thecurrent screen.
PAL PROM CHECKSUM ERROR Checksum error in thePAL PROM memory. This indicatesPAL hasbeen loadedsuccessfully
however it hasfailed topass verification. Check if your flashsticks areinstalled properlyand
are not damaged. Attempt to downloada copyof the samePAL imagefrom another project.
PAL SOURCE NOTDOWNLOADED TO CNC The PAL searchmonitor utilitycan not beaccessed. The PAL searchmonitor utility requiresthe
PAL source code bedownloaded withthe built PAL program.
PAL SOURCE NOTLOADED The copyof PAL inflash doesnot contain sourceprograms.
