Message Description
POCKET IS PARTOF CUSTOM TOOL Anattempt was made to assigna toolto atool pocket that is alreadyused by a customtool.
Custom toolsare assignedto toolpockets that areshown withan XXXX next tothe pocket
number onthe random tooltable.
POCKET MILLING SHAPE ISINVALID A parameter ismissing inthe G88programming block.
POINT ALREADY EXISTS The point that you are trying to enter isalready inthe axiscalibration table.
PORTB ISBUSY This messageappears whenyou press{SYSTEM SUPORT}, {MONITOR}, or {SERIAL I/O} and
port B isbusy.
PORTIS BUSY- REQUEST DENIED Anattempt was madeto output or input informationto or from a serialcommunications port that
is alreadybeing usedby someother device or is selectedas the port that an active program is
coming from.
PREVIOUS ABORT COMMANDNOT COMPLETE This messageis displayed when thecommunications “abort” key is enteredbefore thelast abort
requested has completed.
PROBE/CONTROLLING AXIS CARD DIFFERENT Boththe adaptivedepth probeand the adaptive depth probe controlling axis(typically the axis
that positions theprobe) must be attached tothe sameservo card. You must re-AMPyour
system andre-arrange your servowiring sothat the adaptivedepth probeand it’ s corresponding
servo are on the sameservo card.
PROBE CYCLESCALCULATION ERROR Theservo modulewas unableto computethe probeposition whenthe probeis fired. Make
sure that all measurement points arewithin theprogrammed rangeentered forthe probecycle.
Lower thefeedrate duringthe probingoperation andtry again.
PROBE CYCLESPROGRAMMING ERROR Either not enoughor too many axes areprogrammed ina probingcycle block.
PROBE ERROR A probing cycle has reachedthe outer limits of the tolerance bandwithout firing theprobe, or the
probe has fired beforeentering thetolerance band.
PROBE INUSE BY OTHERPROCESS Ona dualprocessing controlonly oneprobing functionis allowedat any onetime. Probing can
not be performed by bothprocesses simultaneously. You must wait for probing tocomplete in
one process before probingin theother process.
PROBE ISARMED, CAN’T ADJUSTSERVOS With the probe armedthrough aprobing operation, untilthe probefires or theprobe isdisarmed,
other onlineAMP servo parameterslike torque, feedforwardpercentage, gain, etc., are not
allowed to be changed.
PROBE TRIPDURING DECEL An adaptivedepth probetrip occurredafter the program block reachedendpoint. The tripwas
made while the control was waitingfor the following error tocollapse after interpolationis
complete. Avoid this error byreducing axisspeed (thusreducing followingerror) or by moving
the adaptive depth block endpoint further intothe part.
PROCESS SWITCHNOT CURRENTLY ALLOWED On adual-processing system, youcannot switch processeswhile ingraphics or indigitize.
PROGRAM ACTIVE An attempt has been madeto delete or perform someother operation toa programthat was
activated for automatic execution. The program must bedeactivated usingthe {CANCEL
PRGRAM} softkey.
PROGRAM ACTIVE INANOTHER PROCESS This duallathe error appearswhen one process attemptsto opena file for edit, deletion, etc.,
while that file is activein anotherprocess.
PROGRAM BEINGEDITED An attempt has been madeto copy, verify, or perform some other operationon a program that is
still inthe edit mode. It is necessaryto pressthe {EXITEDITOR}softkey fromthe edit menuto
properly endan editingoperation.
PROGRAM BLOCK TOO LONG More than 128characters were entered into a singleblock.
PROGRAM CURRENTLY IN USE A subprogramor paramacro program was calledthat is currently beingused to perform some
other operation(such asediting or copying). Typically, this messageis theresult of attempting
to edit a program that wasnot properly closed. A program remains inthe edit mode until the
{EXIT EDITOR} softkeyis pressed from the program edit menu.
PROGRAM NAME TOO LONG An attempt wasmade tocreate a program witha program namelonger than 8 alphanumeric
characters. If a large, descriptiveprogram name isdesired, a comment maybe addedto the
right of the program name usingthe {PRGRAM COMENT} feature.
