Message Description
RECIP AXISIN WRONGPLANE Thereciprocation axisspecified ina G81or a G81.1programming blockis not inthe currently
selected plane.
RECIP AXISNOT PROGRAMMED No reciprocationaxis wasspecified ina G81or aG81.1 programmingblock.
RECIPROCATION NOT STOPPED An attempt wasmade todeactivate thecurrent part program while reciprocationis stillactive.
You must deactivate reciprocation before deactivatingthe current part program.
REMOTE I/OCOMMON RAM FAULT ONRESET The RIO module teststhe commonRAM after reset and detectsan error. The Interboard
Communications Fault LEDis turnedON.
REMOTE I/OCTC CHIP TESTFAULT The RIO module tests the CTCchip afterreset and detects a fault. The Processor Fault LEDis
turned ON.
REMOTE I/ODENIED COMMONACCESS ON RESET The RIOmodule wasdenied accessto CRAM for more than1 secondafter reset. The
Interboard Communications Fault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OEPROM INTEGRITY FAULT The checksumtest over the RIO program areain theEPROM chip founda fault. The Processor
Fault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OINCORRECT USERBT DATA AMOUNT The RIOmodule attemptedto reada blockof data fromone of the user output blocktransfer
data buffers incommon RAMand foundthe word count of the data tobe outsideof the rangeof
1 to 64. The InterboardCommunications Fault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OINITIALIZATION ERROR Remote I/Ohardware or networkhas failedto initialize. Cycle power to tryto restart or check
remote I/O hardware (9/290 only).
REMOTE I/OINTERNAL RAM FAULT The RIOmodule testsits internal RAMchip after reset and duringoperation. A fault has been
detected. The Processor Fault LEDis turnedON.
REMOTE I/OINTERRUPT HARDWARE FAULT The RIOmodule detectsthat its CPUwas not interrupted by any expectedexternal interrupts.
This conditionindicates aproblem in recognizing interrupts. The Processor Fault LEDis turned
ON.
REMOTE I/OINVALID RACK ADDRESSSET UP The RIO modules rackaddress isillegal. This fault isthe result of theuser settingthe rack
address, via the dip switches, to aninvalid racksize and/or startingmodule groupnumber.
REMOTE I/OINVALID USERBT DATA CHECKSUM The16-bit 2scomplement checksum calculated bythe RIOmodule usingdata froma user
output block transferdata buffer does not match the checksum placedin thebuffer bythe user
device. The InterboardCommunications Fault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OINVALID USERDATA CHECKSUM The 16-bit 2s complement checksum calculatedby theRIO moduleusing datafrom the user
output data table in common RAM doesnot match thechecksum placed bythe userin theuser
output data table in common RAM. The InterboardCommunications Fault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OMISSING USEROPERATIONAL CODE The RIOmodule didnot detect the user operational code after reset. This fault isdisplayed
when the RIO module does not detect theuser operationalcode inthe user statusregister in
common RAM within 100msafter the RIOmodule hasset its operationalcode andreleased
control of commonRAM back tothe userdevice. The Interboard Communications Fault LED is
turned ON.
REMOTE I/ORIO DENIEDCOMMON RAM ACCESS The RIOmodule wasdenied accessto CRAMfor longer thanthe specifiedinterval. The RIO
module failed to gain access tocommon RAM after attempting for theAccessing Time-out time
period. The time-out is dueto either the user devicemaintaining accessfor more than the
Accessing Time-out interval. or toa hardwarefailure. The InterboardCommunications Fault
LED isturned ON.
REMOTE I/OSERIAL COMMUNICATIONS FAULT TheRIO modulecannot communicate withthe PLCprocessor. Either the PLCprocessors
power isOFF, the bluehose isnot connected, or the PLCprocessor is inEdit mode.
REMOTE I/OSIO CHIPTEST FAULT The RIO module tests theSIO chip after reset anddetects afault. The processor fault LEDis
turned ON.
REMOTE I/OUNABLE TO FINDBT DATA BUFFER TheRIO modulewas unableto detect theuser block transfer databuffer. The interboard
communications fault LEDis turnedON.
REMOTE I/OUNRECOVERABLE ERROR Remote I/Ohardware or networkhas catastrophicfailure. Cycle power totry torestart or check
remote I/O hardware (9/920 only).
