Message Description
REMOTE I/OUSER FAULT OCCURRED TheRIO moduledetected that theuser fault bit wasset. The interboardcommunications fault
LED isflashing.
REMOTE I/OWATCHDOG TIMEOUT Thewatchdog mechanism onthe RIOmodule timed out, indicating that the RIOmodule hasnot
operated in an expected manner for possibly17ms. The processorfault LED isturned ON.
REMOTE IOINTERPROCESSOR HANDSHAKE FAULT The RIO module failed to detect thecomplement of the user-handshakeword, in the
complement user-handshake word in common RAM, withinthe handshakeinterval. The user
device has not shook handswith theRIO module. The interboardcommunications fault LEDis
flashing.
REPLACE ABSOLUTEFB BATTERY Thebattery that attaches tothe servomodule and supplies powerfor theabsolute encodersis
under-voltage and must be replaced.
REPLACE MEMORY BACKUP BATTERY Thebattery that attachesto themain processorboard andsupplies powerfor the controls RAM
memory isunder-voltage andmust be replaced. If not replaced, AMP data cannot becopied to
backup memory and part programdata maybe lost.
REQUESTED DATA TOO LARGE Thedata youare tryingto sendor receive istoo large.
REQUIRES AT LEASTTWO AXES A transfer linequick view prompt wasselected fora cycle which requires two ormore axes.
Your system iscurrently configuredas asingle axissystem.
RESETTING E--STOP Once you push the E--Stop Reset buttonto clear theE--Stop state, theResetting E--Stop
message displays to alert youthat the controlis attemptingto comeout of E--Stop. After the
system isout of E--Stop andthe drivesare enabled, the control clearsthis message. If the error
condition is not cleared, this messageclears, but the E--STOP messagecontinues to flash as
the control remains inE--Stop state.
RETRACE NOTALLOWED A retraceis not allowedfrom the point inprogram execution.
RIGHT OPERAND MUST BEPOSITIVE The right operandof a logicaloperator must be a positivevalue. Negative valuesare illegal; for
example, 1AND--2 isillegal becauseof the --2.
RING I/O RECOVERY DISABLED Thismessage isactivated whenthe {RECVRY DISABL} softkeyis pressedon theI/O RING
MONITORpage. It is avisual indicator that theoperator has disabledthe I/O Ring retry
functionality.
RIO COMMON RAM ACCESS NOTACKNOWLEDGED The controls request touse theRIO modulewas denied. The RIOmodule lost power, or the
control wasrestarted, but the RIOmodule wasnot.
ROLLOVER/OVERTRAVEL INCOMPATIBLE Overtravel limits werespecified inAMP for anaxis that isconfigured asa rollover axis. Rollover
axes donot have overtravellimits.
ROTARY AXISCANNOT BESCALED A rotary axiscannot be scaled.
ROTARY WORDOUT OFRANGE A rotaryaxis was programmedto move to an absolute position that isgreater than or equalto
360 degrees. In absolutemode, a rotaryword must rangebetween 0and 360degrees.
ROUGHING CYCLE NESTING ERROR Thecontour blocks calledby aroughing cycleto definethe finishedcontour of a part contain a
block that likewisecalls for aroughing cycle. Contour blocks for aroughing cyclecannot contain
a block that likewise callsfor aroughing cycle.
ROUGHING CYCLE PROGRAMMING ERROR A syntaxerror has beenfound ina roughingroutine block(G72, G73, G74, or G75).
RUNG NUMBER NOT FOUND Therung numberyou aresearching forin the search monitor utility doesnot exist in thecurrent
module, or doesnot exist in theprogram in thedirection youare searching.

S--CURVE ACC/DECCONFIGURATION ERROR An axisconfiguration error wasdetected bythe controlwhen theprogrammed acc/decramp
was out of range. An attempt toprogram anacceleration rampvalue of 0in aG48.3 or G48.4
block. An attempt was madeto program another G--code in a block witha G48.x.
S--CURVE MINPROG JERKTOOSMALL An attempt wasmade toselect a jerkvalue belowthe allowable AMPed value.
S--CURVE MODENOT ALLOWED This message displayswhen anattempt was madeto usea featurethat is illegalin S--Curve
Acc/Dec mode. The followingcan not be used with S--Curve Acc/Dec: 7300 SeriesTape
Compatibility, PALAxis Mover, Circular InterpolationMode (G02, G03), Feedto HardStop
(G24), jogging, threading, and solid tapping.
