Message Description
S--CURVE OPTIONNOT INSTALLED An attempt was madeto select S--Curve Acc/Dec(G47.1) whenthe S--Curve optionbit was set
to false. Make sureyour system includes theS--Curve option.
S NOTLEGAL PROGRAMMINGAXIS NAME This is displayedat power-up whenthe letterS is assigned tolinear or rotaryaxis. Only the
spindle(s) canbe AMPedwith Sas thename; it cannot be assignedto aprogrammable axis.
S OVERSPEED A servo motor is turningat an RPM that isgreater than themaximum RPM allowedfor that
servo as defined inAMP bythe system installer. For digital spindles thiserror can result from
maximum RPM gear range1 beingset higher than your AMPed allowedMaximum Motor
Speed.
SAVE COMPLETED Thechanges madeto thecurrent device set-uphave beensaved.
SCALE FACTORSMUST BEEQUAL FORPLANE When performingcircular motion ormotion incertain cycles, keepthe scale factors forthe axes
of the active plane equal.
SCALING INVALIDDURING POLAR Scaling cannot be used during polar programming.
SEARCH ALREADYIN PROGRESS You cannot request asearch operationwhile oneis currentlyrunning. Complete orabort the
current search before attempting another search.
SEARCH MONITOR SELECTNOT ALLOWED You cannot use theonline PAL searchmonitor utility whilethe displayselect function softkeys
are active. Leave thedisplay select screens (pressDISP SELECT) beforeyou tryto accessthe

execution. A program must be selectedfor automaticexecution beforea program searchcan
be performed.
SEARCH STRINGNOT FOUND Thecharacter or character stringdesignated inthe searchoperation wasnot found.
SECOND SPINDLENOT CONFIGURED Forspindle 2to beprogrammable, it must be configuredin AMP; a decode error.
SECONDARYAUX. WORD SAMEAS AXIS NAME Thesecondary auxiliaryword (usuallyB) is thesame as an axisname, causing aninterpretation
conflict for thecontrol. This wordand allaxis namesare assignedin AMP.
SEE (MESSAGE) INPROGRAM BLOCK The programmer hasassigned asystem parameter that generatesthis message, tellingthe
operator toread thecomment in thecurrent part program block. Program execution will resume
when cycle start is pressed.
SEQUENCE NUMBEROUT OFRANGE A sequencenumber beyond therange of 1 - 99999was programmed.
SEQUENCE STOP NUMBER FOUND A sequencestop number hasbeen activated, andthat sequence number has been found inthe
currently executingprogram. Execution will stop afterthe blockcontaining the sequence
number correspondingto thesequence stopnumber is executed. Execution willresume when
cycle start is pressed.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSBUFFER OVERFLOW A peripheral devicecommunication error(such as a tapereader). The 512 character input
(receive) buffer has overflowed. Data mayhave beenlost. Check your configured
communications protocol(flow control) andcheck for propercabling/pin connections.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSERROR #1 This isan internalsoftware error. The control is unableto accessDF1 Driver.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSERROR #2 This isan internalsoftware error. Check cablesand tryagain.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSERROR #3 This isan internalsoftware error. This isan unknownDF1 Drivererror.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSERROR #4 This isan internalsoftware error. The control is unableto accessthe serialcommunications
port.; check cablesand tryagain.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSERROR #5 Serial communicationsport has not receivedthe expectedresponse inthe timeallowed.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSFRAMING ERROR An incorrect number of bitswas encounteredduring aread operation. Check your devicesetup.
SERIAL COMMUNICATIONSPARITY ERROR Incorrect parityof data wasreceived. Check your devicesetup.
SERIAL PORT IN USE This message willappear if aserial communications port isbusy whenchecked priorto
transmission.
SERIAL UART BUFFER OVERFLOW The 2character buffer on theUARTreceiver has overflowed. A character hasbeen lost. Check
communications setup.
