B-44
Message Description
TOOMANY NONMOTIONCHAMFER/RADIUS BLOCKS Too manynon-motion blocksseparate thefirst tool paththat determines thechamfer or radius
size (programmed with a ,R or,C) from thesecond toolpath. A maximum number of
non-motion blocks is set inAMP bythe system installer. A non-motionblock isdefined asany
block that doesnot generate axismotion inthe current plane.
TOOMANY POCKETSIN ROUGHINGCYCLE A maximum of 2pockets can exist in a roughing cycle.
TOOMANY QPPNONMOTION BLOCKS Too manynon-motion blocksseparate thefirst and secondtool pathswith unknown
intersections inQuickPath Plus. A maximum numberof non-motion blocksis set inAMP bythe
system installer. A non-motion block is definedas anyblock that doesnot generate axismotion
in the current plane.
TOOMANY SHAREDSPINDLES Too manyspindles werespecified asbeing sharedby twoor more processes.
TOOMANY SPINDLES More than one spindle is configured on the control.
TOOMANY SUBPROGRAM CALLS The maximum number of nested sub-programswas reached. Only 4sub-programs maybe
active at any one time.
TOOLCONFIGURATION WILL NOTFIT When assigninga custom toolin therandom tool table, thenumber of pockets assignedto the
tool relativeto theposition of theselected shaft pocket willconflict with a different tool already
assigned to a pocket. If the custom toolis tobe assignedas entered, it must beassigned toa
different shaft pocket, orthe tool that conflicts withthe custom toolslocation must be moved.
TOOLENTRYEXCEEDS LIMIT The selectedtool number enteredis greaterthan theAMPed maximumtool number enteredby
the system installer.
TOOLGROUP DOESNOT EXIST Anattempt was madeto edit atool group in thetool life management tablesthat does not yet
exist in the tool directory. A group must becreated byusing the{TOOLDIR} softkey options.
TOOLOFFSET CHANGES NOT ALLOWED During certain cycles, G10 tool change operationsare not allowed.
TOOLOFFSET REQUIRES MOTION BLOCK A tooloffset cannot bechanged ina non-motionblock. A non-motion blockis anyblock that
does not generateaxis motionin thecurrent plane.
TOOLRADIUS TOO LARGE The programmed tool radius ina G88or G89 pocket cycle is toolarge for the pocket contour. A
smaller radiustool must be used to machine out thecurrent pocket contour.
TOOLRADIUS TOO SMALLFOR POCKETSIZE The programmed tool radiusin aG88 orG89 pocket cycle is toosmall for thepocket contour.
Either select alarger tool for thepocket contour or reduce the amount of material tobe removed
each rough cut of the cycle.
TOPOF PROGRAM REACHED When performing one of theprogram search operations, thefirst block inthe program hasbeen
reached.
TRAVERSE NOT ALLOWEDON : An attempt wasmade tomove anaxis at rapidtraverse beforeit was beenhomed. This only
applies toaxes that havesoftware overtravellimits.
TYPE 1INTERRUPT INCOMPATIBLE WITHG24 This messageoccurs whenreturning froma type1 programinterrupt that previously interrupted
a G24 block. The interrupt isallowed however thereturn moveis invalidsince theaxis was
previously inthe G24mode. You must manually interveneto continue program execution. We
recommend switching to a type2 program interrupt.
U
UARTPORTIS ALREADYOPEN Therequested serialcommunications port hasalready beenopened. This messagewill appear
if an attempt is made tosend datato a port that is currentlybeing used.
UNABLE TO OPENPROGRAM The control cannot findthe programthat is requested. Make surethe programname is entered
correctly orthe peripheraldevice hasthe correct programs loaded init.
UNABLE TO OPENTHE UART PORT Aserial communicationport error has occurred; retry. The conditions that canlead to this error
are unusual and generallywill not exist whena secondattempt is madeto openthe port. If this
error isgenerated continuously, it indicates that theremay be a communications port hardware
failure.
