Placing Symbols
A
symbol is a 10–character name associated with an address. IBM extended
characters can be used as part of symbols.
You start a symbol with a letter from A to Z. T
o complete the symbol, you can use
any combination of ASCII characters except 0x00 through 0x2F and 0x3A through
0x3F.
The following are examples of symbols:
SYM O:3.1/8 UPLOAD
SYM O:5.2/3 EMPTY_LINE
SYM I:1.1/8 PALLET
