3.6 Configuring the Initial Instrument Settings
This section describes how to set up the R&S FPL1000 initially. For further basic
instrument settings, see the R&S FPL1000 User Manual.

3.6.1 Setting the User Interface Language
The user interface to the R&S FPL1000 is available in several languages.
Changing the user interface language
1. Press the SETUP key.
2. Press the "Language" softkey.
3. Select the required language.
All text elements of the R&S FPL1000 user interface are displayed in the
selected language.
Texts in standard Windows dialog boxes are displayed in the language
defined in the regional settings of the Windows operating system.
3.6.2 Setting the Date and Time
Users with administrator rights can set the date and time for the internal real time
clock as follows:
Opening the Date and Time Properties dialog box
1. Press the SETUP key.
2. Press the "Display" softkey.
3. Select the "General" tab in the "Display" dialog box.
4. Press the "Set Date and Time" button to open the standard Windows "Date
and Time Properties" dialog box.
