Data Output
Defines the type of signal available at one of the output connectors of the
R&S FPL1000.
This connector is only available if the R&S FPL1-B5 option is installed.
"IF"
The measured IF value is provided at the IF/VIDEO output connector.
The output is provided at a fixed frequency of 25 MHz. IF and video
output is only available in the time domain (zero span).
"Video"
The displayed video signal (i.e. the filtered and detected IF signal,
200mV) is available at the IF/VIDEO output connector.
This setting is required to provide demodulated audio frequencies at
the output. It is not available for frequency sweeps or I/Q measure-
ments.
The video output is a signal of 1 V. It can be used, for example, to
control demodulated audio frequencies.

Noise Source Control
The R&S FPL1000 provides a connector ("NOISE SOURCE CONTROL") with a 28 V
voltage supply for an external noise source. By switching the supply voltage for an
external noise source on or off in the firmware, you can enable or disable the device as
required.
This connector is only available if the R&S FPL1-B5 option is installed.
External noise sources are useful when you are measuring power levels that fall below
the noise floor of the R&S FPL1000 itself, for example when measuring the noise level
of an amplifier.
