11.11.2 Reference: GPIB Commands of Emulated HP Models
The R&S FPL1000 analyzer family supports a subset of the GPIB commands of HP
models 8560E, 8561E, 8562E, 8563E, 8564E, 8565E, 8566A, 8566B, 8568A, 8568B
and 8594E.
Despite the differences in system architecture and device features, the supported com-
mands have been implemented in a way to ensure a sufficiently high degree of corre-
spondence with the original.
This includes the support of syntax rules for not only newer device families (B and E
models) but for the previous A family as well.
In many cases the selection of commands supported by the R&S FPL1000 is sufficient
to run an existing GPIB program without adaptation.

As with the original units, the R&S FPL1000 includes the command set of the A models
in the command set of the B models.
The HP model 8591E is compatible to HP model 8594E, the HP models 71100C,
71200C, and 71209A are compatible to HP models 8566A/B.
