4.5 Signal Loading of the Input Signal
The previous section explained the transfer function and step response of the probe.
This section describes how the probe influences the input signal. The input signal load-
ing caused by the probe is determined by its input impedance. In general, the probe
causes only low signal loading because its input impedance is usually much greater
than the source impedance of the test circuit.
The resulting input impedance versus frequency is indicated in Figure 4-11.
