(New York, New York) March 27, 2019 – The AF 85mm F1.4 Full Frame for Sony E is the fourth new lens
introduced this spring by ROKINON. It is ROKINON’s sixth autofocus lens designed specically for
optimal quality imaging with Sony full frame mirrorless cameras and as a high speed 127.5mm
telephoto equivalent with Sony APS-C models.
Its complex optical construction consists of 11 Ultra Multi Coated (UMC) elements in eight groups,
including High Refractive Index (HR) glass for a more compact lens with high image resolution. The
achromatic design incorporates Extra Low Dispersion (ED) glass to eectively correct chromatic
aberrations and minimize peripheral softness.
This autofocusing 85mm was designed with creativity in mind. The bright F1.4 aperture provides
excellent performance even when shooting indoors or in darker conditions and precise selective focus
control. Attractive bokeh is created through precision lens polishing and a nine blade iris for natural,
circular, out-of-focus highlights at all apertures.
The ROKINON AF 85mm F1.4 for Sony E utilizes two Linear Ultrasonic Motors (LSM’s) that only have to
adjust a single inner lens group. This internal focusing design provides fast, precise, and quiet
autofocusing and a non-rotating 72mm lter mount.
The durable aluminum body is weather sealed for enhanced dust and water protection to enable
photographers to continue shooting even under adverse conditions.
The new ROKINON AF 85mm F1.4 Full Frame Lens for Sony E mount includes a reversible lens hood,
