3-3 Installing a Tool and Setting the Cutting-start Location
Installing a Tool
CAUTION
Do not touch the tip of the blade with your fingers.
Doing so may result in injury.
Installing a Tool
Follow the instructions in the manual for the cutting machine to install a tool.
Adjust the amount of tool extension to match the size of the workpiece and the cutting depth. Special care is
needed, because the corners may easily strike the tool when rotating the A axis.
Setting the Cutting-start Location

Make the setting for X origin point.

Close the front cover.
Press the VIEW button to make the VIEW light go out.

Use the operation panel screen to move the spindle to the cutting-
start location.
Set the cutting-start location so that the neither the tool nor the
spindle strikes the workpiece chuck during cutting.

Select [Set the X origin here].
Click [Set].
The start location in the X origin has now been
set.
