V-LINK ( ) is a function that allows music and images to be performed together. By using MIDI to connect two
or more V-LINK compatible devices, you can easily enjoy performing a wide range of visual effects that are linked to the
expressive elements of a music performance.
How to use V-LINK
Activating V-LINK
(1) Connect the AX-Synth’s MIDI OUT socket to the
MIDI IN socket of your optional Edirol video device.
Note: V-LINK communication is not possible via the USB
port.
(2) Press the [V-LINK] button (it lights).
Operations on the AX-Synth
V-LINK messages are transmitted on MIDI channel “10”.
The following functions can be controlled from the
AX-Synth:
•Video clip selection: the keys in the lowest octave
allow you to switch clips on an optional Edirol device.
(Those keys are temporarily unavailable for triggering
notes.)
•Video playback speed control: Sliding your finger
over the TOUCH CONTROLLER ribbon will speed up or
slow down the video playback speed.
(The ribbon still generates Pitch Bend messages, how-
ever.)
