REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) is Roland’s original technology for low
latency, high quality digital audio transfer. Products using REAC technology are
installed today in many venues and have been used for high profile events worldwide.

Up to 24-bit/96kHz Sound
REAC transfers 40 Channels of Audio in each
direction at 24-bit and up to 96 kHz including
control messages all over a single Cat5e/6
Ethernet Cable or Optical link.
Reliability and Superb Quality
Superb Quality AD/DA Circuit
The cornerstone of digital sound is the
AD/DA circuit. REAC products have been
specially designed for live audio applications
and are made of high quality components
carefully selected by Roland engineers.
Digital Audio Signal Transfer
The digital audio signal sent by REAC over
Cat5e/6 Ethernet cables avoids signal qual-
ity losses, ground hums, or other interfer-
ence typically found with analog snakes.
Redundancy
Cabling and Power Supply Redundancy for
S-4000S series provides a secure audio trans-
mission system, and the automatic continua-
tion of audio transfer even in cases where one
of the cables is accidentally damaged.
V-LINK
Audio Faders on the V-Mixer follow the input
selections and T-bar position of Roland
Video Mixers.

Live Multi-Channel Recording/Playback
Simply plug a Cat5e/6 cable into a computer installed
with Cakewalk SONAR PRODUCER and capture up to
40 channels of live audio. Alternately connect to an
R-1000 48-Track Recorder/Player for dedicated record-
ing of up to 48 channels along with Virtual Soundcheck
and selective multi-channel playback capabilities.
No IP Address Setup
Devices are automatically recognized by the
system and the appropriate menus present
