Also, all information other than recorded audio (phrase information) is stored on the card as well. (That is, it is not stored in the AR unit itself.) This means that you can change the settings simply by swapping cards. You can use the ARE-3000 AR Card Editor software to back up all of the data on memory cards using a Windows computer.

You can set the time until the display goes dark (Sleep Time) to anything from 30 seconds to 59 minutes 59 seconds. When the unit is in continuous use for long periods, such as on systems that run 24 hours a day, this can help protect the display from deterioration.
